We loved our stay here. The reception staff are so helpful. They put us in touch with a lovely family (Miriam and family) who provide a wonderful taxi service all over the island. They are the best place to go for any advice. Food was very good. But the best part was the amazing views from the dining room which looks out across the swimming pool to Mt Pico. The clouds change by the minute and the sunsets are fabulous. Take your camera. You can sit inside or out. You get the same view from rooms facing the harbour. Highly recommended!

Great stay in Pousada da Horta, the staff are great, very professional The reception gives you a lot of information, if you are planning to go to another island or maybe to have a tour around Faial, they simply make it happen easily. I also used the restaurant. They have a breakfast with a lot of options, the staff is very nice, and I also had lunch, the food was very good and well served. That was a wonderfull stay!!!!

Personeel was extreem vriendelijk en service gericht. Zowel bij de receptie, als de meneer van het ontbijt, als ‘s avonds in de bar. Ontbijt was zeer goed verzorgd. In Horta kan je goed en gratis parkeren. Hotel is verder wat ouderwets, maar de kamers zien er netjes uit en de locatie is prachtig. Ik raad aan een kamer op de 2e etage te nemen of achter in de gang. De kamers op de 1e etage in het midden grenzen aan het Atrium van de receptie wat rumoerig kan zijn.

The hotel is in the old Fortress in Horta. It's in a great location and the rooms are very comfortable. The breakfast was great with some real flavour and local specialities on offer. Dinner was good but the service was a little slow. I would stay again!

The hotel is beautiful and they upgraded me and put me in a beautiful room with the most wonderful view.

They have music in the lobby that is very loud! I could not sleep for a long time! They should not have music in the lobby.
