Courtyard by Marriott Waikiki Beach

I booked and payed thru 3'rd party like always but at the check-out I was asked to pay over $100 per night which was not communicated up front to me, so there's Transparency issue. I don't like surprise charges. Being a Bonvoy Titanium elite for many years I'm not happy this time and do not recommend and won't come back to stay at this location.

loud and outdated. the paint in the bathroom was chipping off the walls, i could hear every sound from outside even with the balcony door shut, the balcony locks were janky but passable, and the shower was all around unpleasant. the bathroom was tiny and the shower was just about big enough to stand in. the soap dispensers were poorly secured. both the body wash and shampoo containers had fallen off the wall, and the body wash was completely empty. I asked for it to be refilled, but was instead given a tiny container of soap enough for a single shower. there is no complimentary breakfast or coffee in the morning. staff are appropriately kind and exactly what i expect from a Courtyard Marriott property. there are plenty of tourist shops nearby and multiple bus stops. the main door is locked after 9 pm. the hotel is fine, but not worth the price

We had a nice time in here. The property is well maintained and the location is very convenient to many good places.

They were renovating the property and the room s were very old looking. The staff was nice and very accommodating.

We were on our first visit to Hawaii. The staff were helpful. Our room was clean & efficient. We enjoyed the view from our 7th floor balcony (street facing). The location is great, very centralized & we found it easy to walk, Uber & get around. The pool was under renovation. Construction taking place was managed well by staff & didn't interfere with guests. We would recommend this property as a great stay for folks looking for a convenient 'base of operations' to explore Waikiki & Oahu at an affordable price.

My rating is more to the building and cleanliness; not the staff, the staff was amazing! But if you’re looking for a nice, clean hotel this is not it unfortunately. The shower floors were dirty with hairs and the wooden bathroom door was rotting away so disgusting. The walls were dirty in the room too. Even hallways to the room was not well kept. I think they’re updating, but I booked the Marriot because usually their hotels are so nice and this one was not. So if you’re looking for clean don’t book here; but if you’re looking for close to bars and cleanliness doesn’t matter to you then this place would be great for you!

We made it very clear prior to booking that we were booking it FOR the use of the jacuzzi and pool. When we arrived, both were under renovation and unusable. Staff were unprofessional, uncaring and rude. The room itself was different from the photos. The room - the nicest in the entire hotel - was cramped, small, old, badly arranged, and the sofa bed did not function. The staff were reluctant to help with the broken sofa bed and eventually had us move to an adjacent room. Again - absolutely nothing except a cursory "sorry" about the inconvenience of moving rooms at 10pm with children. They did not help with the moving at all, and actually wanted us to go downstairs to the front desk to change our room keys, rather than do that for us (which I would have expected, given that it was their malfunctioning sofa bed!) Definitely not worth the money.

Pool was closed down, and we were not told in advance. Rooms are really small, and noise level from outside was bad and I had to change rooms.

So many rooms need refurbishing. Pool under repair. But coffee bar and valet parking are top notch
