Residence Inn Mystic Groton

The entire staff was wonderful with one bad exception at the front desk. The facility is in dire need of a complete renovation. Shabby, tired, worn, dark are some of the words that come to mind. Breakfast is second rate at best. We have stayed at Hampton in the past and will return there in the future. We wanted to like it but were disappointed by the overall appearance. Depressing. I would not stay again if it were not renovated.

Room was very clean and breakfast was great. Staff for breakfast were very accommodating! Maintenance staff was great! Looking forward to returning!

We booked the room based on having 6 in our party but the room we received only slept 5. Room was 80 degrees and you can tell other guests had the same issue because the handles on the windows are broken and vents were broken. No screens in the 2nd story window so it was dangerous to have open if you have kids. Main tv didn’t work. Called the front desk but no one showed up to fix it and no other rooms available unless we split up our family.

Staff were very friendly and efficient, check in took only 2 or 3 minutes and check out took maybe 30 seconds. The room was clean and spacious. The free wifi was fine and I cannot comment on housekeeping or in room entertainment since I did not use them.

Breakfast Bar was full of Ants....and staff did nothing about it. The front desk staff pushed me off to the kitchen attendent. Who then told me he doesn't care cause he only works 2 days a week.

Staff was very polite and accommodating.

Misrepresentation of facilities: no working fireplaces

Stay was ok. Our shower was broken, but repaired once we notified the office. Bed was comfortable, but pillows had nothing to them. Unusual couch was not comfortable at all.

There was make up on the pillow case bottle cap under the bed and one outlet didnt work in the kitchen so had to go down stair in the lobby for coffeeand breakfast was ok not great soggy hashbrown and toaster really didnt toast
