Residence Inn Mystic Groton

The first room I was in had blood on the curtains. I tried to sleep, but was awakened at 7:00am by a loud basketball game. I was on the 3rd floor and the court wasn't visible from my window but was close by. It was extremely cold out in January, so I couldn't fathom that people would be playing at all let alone at that hour on a Sunday. The fact that this kept me up on the 3rd floor shows how poorly this building was made. I asked to be moved to another room at noon. The front desk person gave me the runaround for 3 hours, not calling back when they said they would, giving me unrealistic timeframes for when they'd reply. I couldn't leave and had to wait 3 hours to figure out if I could change rooms. Once another person came on shift, they changed my room in 5 mins. The new room had an extremely loud heater that also made sleep difficult. The building was dingy and not well kept up. I would not stay here again.

15 minutes ride to Foxwoods by way of a winding road, but the price was reasonable and expanded breakfast was good. A computer glitch locked us out of our room after midnight.

The 2 bedroom suite was awesome and had everything in the room that you could possibly need during your stay. First thing I didn't like is that there is 2 separate buildings and I had to walk outside to get to the pool or lobby for breakfast. Second, the pool water was heated but still on the cold side for December.

Our room had bed bugs in both the bedroom mattress as well as the pull out couch mattress I told the staff we wouldn’t be staying in the room or at the hotel because it was very dirty and unsafe as well as unsanitary staff did nothing about this situation when I requested a refund I asked to I be contacted immediately by a manager I have yet to be contacted to discuss major concerns as well as be refunded for my stay This was a weekend get away for my daughter for her birthday she was very upset we had to find a different hotel to sleep in because the room was very dirty I would love to change my ratings and review if this could be handled immediately by properly management I have pictures I can and will send to management as well as corporate if needed all I’m asking for is a refund as we felt very unsafe and unsanitary staying in this hotel We frequently travel for dance competitions and other sporting events and stay in many hotels around the east coast Including this major hotel that I truly love and trust to sleep at with not only myself but my children Please feel free to contact me immediately as I’m only looking out for the health and safety of other guests as well as myself and my children Thank you

Great service and nice 2-bedroom suite. Although the pool was not available due to being serviced, the front desk person found another local Marriott so we could use their pool. We didn’t end up going there due to lack of time, but the thought was much appreciated!

Nice place and very quiet

The rooms are dated/need some TLC but the bed was comfortable. There was a splatter on our door which was pretty off putting. But most importantly the pool area was inhumanely cold (ambient temp was 63 degrees), and the pool itself was cold. So, we brought the kids to swim after the aquarium and they couldn’t because it was too cold and were told it wasn’t adjustable.

Sometimes it got a little too hot in the room. It seems like there was no way to turn it down. Maybe it was on auto.
