Kuredu Island Resort

We would like to say a huge thank you for the best holiday ever. Everything at Kuredu Resort was absolutely top class. We spent a lot of time with Prodivers and went on the most amazing dives, especially the scooter dives in the channels with lots of sharks — they were simply unbelievable. Huge praise to the entire Prodivers team. We would also like to mention our host, Sham, who was absolutely fantastic and always available whenever we wrote to her. Finally, we would like to mention waiters like Vista and Amit, who were truly something special. But honestly, everything and everyone deserves top marks. We will definitely be coming back again. Everything was top-notch. Samir, the host, was friendly and provided excellent information. The food at Sangu was fantastic. The beach, flora, and fauna were incredible. Our vacation was a complete success.

We have just returned from a wonderful family holiday at Kuredu and overall had a fantastic stay. Especially the no shoes needed for the entire holiday! The standout highlight was the snorkelling, which was some of the best we have experienced. We saw a turtles, reef sharks, rays and an incredible variety of colourful fish almost every day. The turtles were incredible for me the best part of the holiday….The marine life around the island is truly spectacular and made the trip for us. The sea was generally calm enough that even our youngest child could enjoy snorkelling close to shore. We stayed in two Premium Beach Villas, which were clean, comfortable, nicely decorated and had beautiful ocean views. The outdoor bathrooms were a lovely touch, although they did attract the occasional mosquito. The seaplane transfer is definitely part of the Maldives experience. At around 50 minutes it felt a little hot and noisy by the end, but the views are absolutely stunning. Travelling with children aged 4, 6 and 11, we were pleased with the kids’ club. Our younger two loved the daily activities and the staff were incredibly kind and caring. I’d say it’s best suited to children up to around age 10, as our eldest felt a little old for some of the activities. A special mention also goes to the breakfast team for the animal-shaped pancakes they made for my daughter each morning – they were the highlight of her day! The pool was great for the children, although quite deep in places, and my 11-year-old loved the golf facilities and driving range. I also had a treatment at the O Spa, which was genuinely one of the best massages I’ve had in years. The setting over the ocean was magical, the therapist was excellent, and the glass floor beneath the treatment bed was a lovely touch. We also enjoyed a meal at the 5.8 Undersea Restaurant without the children, which was a wonderful experience in itself (see my separate review). A few tips for future guests: bring your own snorkel gear if you have it, along with beach shoes for children as there are some areas with broken coral and shells. Mosquito and sandfly repellent is a must, as is Factor 50 sun cream. Rash vests or UV swim tops are also worth bringing for children who plan to spend lots of time snorkelling. The island itself is beautiful, particularly the sand spit, and the snorkelling alone is a reason to visit. We left with some wonderful family memories and would happily recommend Kuredu to anyone looking for a relaxed Maldives holiday with exceptional marine life.

I had a fantastic stay at Kuredu as a solo traveller and would happily return. Unfortunately, my trip started with a storm on the day I arrived, which meant guests couldn't get to the island as planned. While it wasn't the start any of us had hoped for, I was really impressed with how the Kuredu team handled the situation. They arranged accommodation for us at a neighbouring resort, kept us updated, and made what could have been a stressful experience feel very well managed. Once I arrived at Kuredu, everything got better from there. I was lucky enough to be upgraded to a Premium Beach Villa, which was a lovely surprise. The villa was beautiful, just steps from the beach. Although I travelled in May, the weather was much better than expected, with plenty of sunshine. When it did rain, I actually loved listening to it on the roof of the villa. The island itself is stunning. The beach is exactly what you imagine when you think of the Maldives, and the snorkelling was incredible. Even just walking along the jetty, I regularly spotted baby sharks, octopus, rays and plenty of tropical fish. The food was very good, especially on the Full Board package, which I found to be great value for a short stay. I'd also like to give a shout-out to O Bar, where the service was always friendly and welcoming. A special thank you to Faizan, who looked after me throughout my stay. He was always helpful, professional and genuinely made me feel welcome as a solo traveller. A couple of small areas for improvement: some activities weren't running during my visit, and I think the evening entertainment could be stronger. Neither of these affected my enjoyment of the trip, but they are probably the only areas where I think the resort could improve. Overall, Kuredu gave me exactly what I was looking for: beautiful beaches, amazing marine life, friendly staff and a chance to properly switch off.

This is just a wonderful place! Exactly the kind of place I've always dreamed of. There's really nothing more to say. Except maybe that you need to be very careful in the sun.

Best dive center in the maldives. Many turtles, sharks and other marine life to enjoy. The house reef is 5/5 for scuba diving or snorkling.

We had a truly wonderful holiday and would like to thank the entire team for making our stay so memorable. The housekeeping team did an excellent job throughout our stay, ensuring everything was always spotless and comfortable. The restaurant experience was equally impressive, with delicious food, outstanding service, and special thanks to Krishna and waitress Sindhu for their warm hospitality and attention to detail. The highlight of our holiday was undoubtedly the Kids Club. Our boys absolutely loved spending time there and looked forward to the activities every day. The program was well organized, fun, and engaging, offering a variety of activities for children of all ages. A special thank you to Menuka and her team Selcia, Sita, and Suju for their exceptional care, kindness, and enthusiasm. They created a welcoming and safe environment where our children felt happy and excited every day. Their genuine warmth and dedication made a lasting impression on our family. Overall, the service across the resort was outstanding, and we left with beautiful memories. We highly recommend this resort to families and look forward to returning in the future.

Suju made beautiful henna art on my hand, which became such a lovely memory from my trip. I was also very touched by the handmade gifts from the Kids Club — such a sweet and personal gesture that made my experience even more special. A special thank you to Menuka as well, who became such a good friend during my stay. Her warmth, kindness, and positive energy made my time at the resort even more memorable. Amazing place! All the staff was amazing, kind and pleasant. Room in Sangu water villa had an fantastic view. The food was really good at Sangu restaurant. Also amazing view there when we were eating. It was very clean every where.
