Kuredu Island Resort

Excellent stay. Very warm welcome from our island host Abhi. Looked after well throughout. Great food, company and atmosphere, and entertainment was brilliant throughout.

Our family of seven (3 couples and one single) had an excellent holiday of 10 nights in Kuredu Island Resort. We had reserved one Water villa in Sangu and 3 Garden villas. Our resort host Vamshi and Kuredu application in mobile phones were a great help to us on planning our daily activities in the resort. Thanks to Vamshi's help, we were able to upgrade our 3 garden villas to Sangu water villas for the last six nights to keep our group together and to enjoy Sangu restaurant and infinity pool together. The cost of the upgrade was reasonable. The Water Villas were excellent. We were all astonished by the sea, wildlife and reefs. Already from the terraces you could see a lot of beautiful fish, and also some sharks (friendly) and rays. Snorkeling was great even for quite beginners since you could step into the sea lagoon directly from the Sangu villas. The lagoon is quite shallow. The House reef is excellent for snorkeling. It is freely accessible from the Main beach and from the jetty. If you want to see the best parts further away, it requires good swimming and snorkeling skills. Watch out for the waves and currents. There are turtles, sharks and rays and hundreds of colourful fish species on the House coral reef! Besides our snorkeling activities on Kuredu we participated in different organized trips by ProDivers and Kuredu. Although a bit expensive, they all were really worth it! Remember to reserve as early as possible, some of them were already fully booked. The buffet restaurants we used were in Sangu and Bonthi. The food seemed to be the same in them but of course the Sangu restaurant environment by the beach and under palm trees is better. The menu changed every day according the theme. Especially we enjoyed fresh, local tuna and tandoori dishes. Our special thanks to Sharon for the excellent service of our group. Our full board packages did not include soft drinks or alcohol, and we paid separately for them. For us it worked well. The free water bottles were always available in the villas. Your could also get free water in restaurants and bars. In the villas the maintenance and cleaning service was excellent! (Unfortunately we forgot the name of the person taking care of our villas.) The buggy service (taxi) was very good and quick way to get around the island. Special thanks to J.Singh! Our only negative feedback is about the travel from Male to Kuredu and back. It simply takes too long (several hours) using a combination of a regular domestic flight to Madivaru and the speed boat from there to Kuredu. The flight boat service would have been faster, unfortunately it was not included in our travel package. We definitely recommend the Kuredu resort for everybody enjoying snorkeling. We plan to come back some day.

Returning for the 6th time after a 12 year break. Same fantastic resort with a wonderful ethos; care for the environment and the local people. It felt like we had never left. Warm welcome from fantastic staff with fabulous food and service. If you are looking for sterile luxury this is not for you. This is a warm, authentic resort with something for everyone. Dive facilities great and house reef requiring just a snorkel.

After 13 stays as repeat guests, we are deeply disappointed. We now come to this island exclusively because of the excellent ProDivers dive center. Without them, we would not return. Since the new management took over about three years ago, the food quality has gone downhill dramatically. Hardly any fresh products, poor execution, and no consistency. A so-called “Winter Wonderland” menu with rabbit and salmon says it all – completely off theme and badly prepared. Many chefs seem to lack basic skills: no seasoning, wrong cooking order, curries like thin soup, and fish consistently overcooked and dry. At Sangu, food from the tandoori oven is even served cold. This points to untrained and careless kitchen staff. Management is completely unreceptive to feedback, and repeat guests clearly no longer matter. Another example: at the sandbank sundowner, drinks can be ordered until 7:30 pm, yet guests are asked to stand up at the same time because seating is removed. It is truly sad to see what this resort has become. Without ProDivers, there would be no reason to come back

Everything was simply perfect. This was our second stay in just one year, and once again it exceeded all our expectations. 😊 A true 5-star welcome, excellent food, breathtaking paradise-like scenery, beautiful swimming areas with crystal-clear water, high-quality snorkeling and diving, an outstanding SPA with highly professional massage therapists, and above all, the incredible kindness and availability of the staff. A very special thank you to ABHI, our host during both stays. An amazing experience, the staff are all so friendly and helpful, the island is beautiful, the food was varied and excellent. We went All Inclusive (even though we aren't big drinkers), as it gave access to other things such as sports facilities without extra charge. We stayed in the O resort, 2 rooms with our daughters next door to us. Seaplane transfer was a first for us. It was a fantastic holiday and I would be very happy to go back again.

My first solo trip to Kuredu -I stayed in a garden bungalow with only footsteps away from the ocean and amazing views. Excellent buffet selection - best to go all inclusive-as can be expensive !! but quality and choice is second to none . All the staff are ever so friendly and smart. Always willing to help. The island itself is so relaxed and chilled -certainly a place to unwind and reset- the selection of watersports -activities and entertainment is brilliant. I used the island spa and treated myself to a massage overlooking the ocean - absolutely brilliant -the service was amazing/followed with a relaxing cup of ginger tea!! I will definitely be coming back -thank you Kuredu staff -you were great
