We travel 5 to 6 months per year. THIS IS A VERY UNIQUE B &B in the heart of old town Charleston. IT IS THE ONLY tourist B&B ,actually the only tourist accommodation ON BATTERY St facing the harbor and fort Sumter. It offers huge accommodations. dating back to 1840 s. In our room there was a print of a painting dating back to 1851 and this house is on it! They have a deliver breakfast TO YOU'RE ROOM!!!!!!!!,,,, There is a Hugh fully stocked pantry. It is very secure and the staff is excellent. Don't miss it. P S I have No vested interest in this business.

20 South Battery is a great place to stay when visiting Charleston. The staff is terrific and they showed great southern hospitality. The rooms and grounds are beautiful. Highly recommend staying at this landmark.

A lovely antebellum building, beautifully restored, with a lovely garden. It was good to have a room where our group could meet, where there were tea and coffee making facilities, and complementary soft drinks and water. Staff were pleasant and helpful. The situation was beautiful, with easy access to the walk along the shore and wonderfully peaceful.

The bedroom floor was really quite dirty-black feet on walking across the floor. Messages sent via booking.com between booking and arrival were not replied to, partially replied to or replied to only after considerable delay. We would have welcomed easier space to unpack our clothes -preferably drawers.

I would go to Charleston just to stay at 20 South Battery! Steeped in history, charming and luxurious. We could not have stayed at a more magical place. Meticulous grounds and wonderful amenities! No corners were cut. The staff were exceptional too.

Beautiful, historic mansion with wonderful staff. Enjoyed our stay and off season is the time to visit Charleston - cooler and less crowds!

This is the 3rs time my wife and I have stayed here. The location is great and the feel is definitely old Charleston. Abigale and her staff always make us feel welcome and like we’re part of the family. Don’t miss 5pm charcuterie and wine (BYOB) on the front porch!!

Special place in a beautiful city. The owner deserves a medal for keeping this amazing building going and in such good condition.

Hotel was .6 mile walk from restaurants and shopping. Breakfast was OK but was expecting something entirely different.... wanted a bountiful buffet of hot food and sweets. The room was cramped because of too much furniture for the space. Bathroom was good size and nice hot water and nice towels. Bed was very comfortable. I have stayed at other pricey boutique hotels and I felt very over priced. If I go back to Charleston, I'd stick to the major chains in the French Quarter.

We stayed in one of the Haunted rooms. After checking in we left to explore Charleston. When we came back I found personal items had been moved. Late that night I woke to the sound of bathroom drawers and cabinets opening and closing. I saw drawers open and close. I called out to my spouse, asking her what she was doing. My wife, laying beside me, sat up and asked me what was wrong. While my wife found the incident frightening, I thought it was absolutely COOL. I definitely want to go back and stay in The same room. The Inn is remarkable, the rooms awesome, and the staff extremely friendly. I definitely recommend staying!
