Sessions Retreat & Hotel

The staff were incredibly nice and responsive. Kitchen in main lodge area had most things we needed for a larger group stay. Good bbqs on site to cook, although you bring your own charcoal.

First night heat stopped working. It was 31 degrees outside so it got pretty cold. They called maintenance to fix it and replaced thermostat (sadly this happened to our sister staying next to us too). Midweek the bar and food spot on site was closed, which was part of the reason we booked the spot. Also no hot tub on site but you could use one a few blocks away. We used the main lodge and kitchen a lot and hung out there most of the time, but no shared bathroom access in there so we had to go back to our rooms every time to use bathroom. Were told when we called ahead that they would have basic cooking items like oil and spices but only salt and pepper there. Grounds were very sparse. Paved trail was a few hundred feet and dead ended into bushes. Just overall felt like a work in progress, which was expensive for what we got. The staff and owner were nice though. And if we had an issue (there were plenty) they were responsive.

I loved the location, the staff was friendly! Enough space for two people, did not really feel crowded. A decently sized kitchen to make a nice breakfast or dinner.

Shower curtain could have been better, I had to worry too much about water going outside.
