"Clean, quiet, restful stay"

We are frequent travelers to the Pharr/Mcallen/Edinburg area, trying different hotels. This time we decided to try this hotel and were pleasantly surprised. On the outside the hotel looks a little dated, but on the inside it’s being renovated. Our room was large, clean, and very comfortable. The pillows and sheets felt crisp and clean and smelled freshly laundered. There was very little carpeting which was helpful to my allergies. Towels were on the vanity and not in the bathroom which was a huge plus! I don’t know why so many hotels put them over the toilet - that’s just gross. Here they were smart and put them over and under the vanity, separate from the bathroom. The shampoo and body wash smelled great. There were hooks on the wall for convenience and blackout shades which were amazing! The hallway was bright with brand new carpeting. Honestly, walking down the hallway I felt like I was at a luxury hotel. Very, very nice. Will definitely stay here again !

Breakfast was NOT good, eggs and chorizo tasted bad, also did not have tortillas to go along with it. sweet bread was old and no variety of yogurts. I could not find juice and no body around to ask

The hotel is under construction but we were comfortable with upgrades. Pros- cleanliness, tv streaming option, wifi, ac works, comfy bed, helpful front desk and maintenance, close by eating options (walking distance) Cons- per my preference I love big cup of coffee and the coffee from room & free breakfast was to small for my liking, sliding door in shower always opens while showering (caution since it’s glass), no vents for bathroom so you going to #2 take a freshener, mini fridge was dirty/smelled, room can be really quiet since ac is on auto setting (take some ear silencers). It was good though and I’ll be going back again soon
