Hotel Continental - Reims

One night stopover on the way home, and it was a very good choice. Central location, with car parking immediately opposite. Friendly and helpful staff. Normally we'd not eat in city hotels, but we did here as it looked inviting, and it was excellent. Recommended

This was the first night of our Rick Steves tour. The walk from the train station is level and short! The local bus stop is between the train station and the hotel, too FYI. The staff was very nice! They efficiently put pots of coffee on each table in the breakfast room so if yours is cold just ask at the bar for a hot pot. And also ask at the bar for a little pitcher of cow's milk for your coffee. (Almond, oat, etc is on the buffet). Our breakfast was included on the tour. One 'free afternoon' we bought picnic foods and a bottle of wine at Monoprix grocery and the Hôtel restaurant loaned us 2 wine glasses to use in the park next door for our picnic. There is an elevator, coffee maker, and a big shower.

Divine! A gorgeous hotel with charm, character and luxury. The staff are delightful, our room was spacious and comfortable, we slept brilliantly. The bathroom body products they use have the loveliest fragrance, truly felt pampered. Breakfast is wonderful, they make the best omelette. Thank for having us. Will definitely stay again

Lovely stop over on our way to Provence, convenient to the large underground carpark. 18 euros covers tax and carpark, which is pretty good. Excellent area to walk around, grab a drink and some food. Would definitely stay again if travelling through France again.

Great position in Reims, easy parking in Erlon car park (if rather smelly), friendly staff, good restaurant, good sized rooms with modern facilities. So much more character than a chain hotel. The only issue was loud music in the park over the road which I assumed was an event but wasn't if I had mentioned it sooner the staff would have reported it.

Staff were fantastic and solved our TV issue quickly and efficiently. Beautiful rooms and great breakfast!

Loved our stay at this hotel. Great location surrounded by good restaurants and walking distance to the Notre Dame Cathedral. Particularly liked the black out blinds for sleeping and the water fill both sparkling and still. Comfortable beds. While there is parking garage below the hotel, it can be tricky to get into. Overall convenient to have it there.

We had a wonderful stay at the Continental in early July. We stayed in the Small Double “Intimate” size room. I didn’t expect much space in the smallest category of a European hotel but it had plenty of room for the two of us and our luggage. There was even a small closet so we could put unpack a little bit during our stay. The bathroom had enough room as well and a wonderful rain shower. We were on the 1st floor (2nd floor to Americans) facing the street, right over the front door and it was perfectly quiet. The blackout shades helped us have good nights' sleep and recover from jetlag. We didn’t have breakfast at the hotel but enjoyed walking to the nearby bakeries. Since we were celebrating our anniversary during our stay, the hotel provided coupons for champagne in the bar so we had a chance to enjoy the ambience and a nice drink. The hotel also provided special decorations in the room and a gift pack of toiletries. Every hotel staff member we encountered was friendly and polite. The hotel is perfectly situated to the train station - just a 5 minute walk - and other public transportation. There are lots of restaurants within walking distance of the hotel and it was also an easy walk to the Reims Cathedral. We also walked to the champagne houses (Pommery, Taittinger, etc) without any problem. We would definitely stay here again if we have the chance to visit Reims again.
