The Approach Hotel

Check in was at 5PM, our room was not ready for us until 7PM unfortunately. The hotel room was quite outdated, there were piles of sheets and bags of garbage in the hallway. We wanted to enjoy our stay but will probably not be back! Also the view is beautiful and the food was delicious, staff very kind and welcoming!

Customer service was really slow for TV that wasn't working upon arrival and plugged toilet. More staff and better service needed. It is not OK to use being understaffed as the reason for lack of response. We waited 15 hours for the TV issues to be rectified and 9 hours for a plunger to arrive. Window was also broken and was open the whole time we were there (good thing it was nice out and the room was not cold as a result). Having said that, you get what you pay for and overall we really enjoyed our experience on the hill. I am sure that with better service, my review would have been much better. Would stay again.

It was good. Pros: It was clean, massive, access directly to the chairlift and close to restaurants. Cons: It was dated, didn’t have a fridge in the room and the blankets were very thin. Overall it was just a place to sleep so good in that respect.

We found the room very convenient to the lift, restaurants and hot tub/pool. Apparently these rooms are about to be renovated. They need many more hooks for skiers to hang items. Our room was very hot and maintenance tried to fix it but the thermostat needs replacing which will be done during renovations. Location was great.

Older building, a little beat up. Beds aren’t great. Noise travels from hallways. Great location on the ski hill, steps from the lifts and restaurants.

The bed sheets were very dated, hard, and not comfortable. The pull out bed had springs pressing on your back and not level. The TV was extremely small, decades old. Very dated room.

This was our first time at this hotel… we booked it for the convenience of the mountain, unfortunately the hotel was not what we expected. The hotel is old and has not been upgraded in years (old mattresses, broken tiles in bathroom, smelly carpets) the rooms were dirty ( dust, dead bugs, dirty walls), we even found socks and candy left in the rooms. We may return to the mountain but we will never stay in this old dirty hotel again.
