All I can say is this place is AMAZING!! The views! The openness and simplicity of the rooms! The vibe! What a wonderful place to stay and as they say - EXPERIENCE! Note - there are no tvs, and you’ll hear nature doing it’s thing at night, which I loved!

We loved the hix house. Maureen, our yoga instructor was amazing. We felt like we were on a 4 day yoga retreat. The indoor/outdoor living space, the quiet property, the nature sounds, the pool, the friendly and helpful staff, the restful environment, and Maureen all combined created an atmosphere that was truly a beautiful and spiritual experience. Thank you. We feel very blessed.

Hix Island is a magical place! Architecture is very successfully stitched with nature. If you want an off grid experience with convenience, this is the place! Every building is unique and fun to stay but I highly recommend Solaris 2 or Solaris 4. It has an ocean view and the balcony has an open roof so you can lay down and watch the stars at night. The room has two large openings to provide natural cross ventilation, it’s breezy at all times. There’s also a small pool at the property which is a bless, it has a gorgeous view. The hotel provides a full fridge with everything you need to make breakfast such as fresh bread, butter, milk, coffee, fruits, eggs. I highly recommend yoga with Maureen-it’s a life changing experience. She’ll tell you all about yoga and take you to a spiritual journey. This is my second time at Hix Island and I highly recommend staying there!

A great experience to rest, relax and connect with nature. Mesmerizing architecture. Very private. Is in the center of the island, highly recommend to rent a car.

Stayed at Hix last weekend and loved the establishment! Amazing location in the hills so it was very restful - no traffic noise but lovely ambient sounds of nature. We stayed in Redonda 2 and it was stylish, open, and well-designed. The pool was lovely and the staff was very nice and helpful but FYI the place is meant to be independent stay vs hotel catering. The fruit trees on the property were a nice bonus.

The manager Carmen and her sister Chinita went above and beyond to make sure I had a good stay. They were so kind and helpful with everything. I rarely write reviews but I sincerely appreciate their hospitality and it deserves recognition.
