The Quay Hotel and Spa

Amazing location and very friendly and helpful staff. Room was very spacious and the food in the restaurant was excellent. Atmosphere around the hotel was relaxed. Views from the terrace were superb. It’s the perfect spot. Would definitely recommend. I will be returning soon!

This hotel is absolutely fabulous with next level service from every member of staff. We only stayed one night but I truly wished we could have stayed longer.

Lovely 3 night break. Great location. Enjoyed the wonderful spa facilities early morning and evening. Superior room great size and very quiet. Ate in the restaurant one evening. The food was good but the service very slow. Disappointed at check out to be overcharged. Was rectified but no apology. Check your bill carefully!

We stayed at The Quay with a group of friends last year and loved it. We wanted our newly disabled friends to enjoy the same experience. Pre-visit, the staff were very accommodating and helpful; our friends required scooters, wheelchairs and additional luggage to be delivered to the hotel; we organised this but it was done without fuss and everything was in our rooms when we arrived. Maria at Reception was so warm and welcoming, and our friends appreciated the open areas, wide corridors and lovely courtyard. The food as always was delicious; a table near the entrance doors was reserved for us and the logistics of getting everyone safely seated at table were handled with grace and charm by every single staff member - especially Chris. Disabled facilities within the accessible room were spacious and fit for purpose. We did have one or two accessibility issues; we have informed the hotel separately about these: lack of sufficient disabled parking spaces and dropped kerbs, and doorstep lips preventing independent access to the room terrace and dining terrace. Level surfaces would have enabled our friends to self-propel more easily around the hotel. We were blessed with fine weather during our stay and the setting of this hotel is truly magical, with ever-changing panoramic views from the terrace across the estuary throughout the day. Wrapped in the fluffy blankets provided, the four of us were able to enjoy a Welsh whisky nightcap whilst watching the moon rise over the water, boats bobbing gently, the odd oyster catcher calling ….. Just what we were hoping for. To all the team - thank you.
