Great location, had AC during the England heatwave, comfy bed, large room, nice bathroom. All in all excellent choice of a hotel for my visit to Manchester.

Shower wall was too short and let water onto the bathroom floor. I see this a lot in European hotels and starting to show up in American ones too. Makes no sense to me. Just flooding their own bathroom floor. The room looked out over an alley so I kept the window covered. Helped for the summer sunlight hours but not as nice as hotel rooms with a view. TV was a bit small. All of these are minor issues overall.

Gluten free breakfast and location

Air conditioning was the best we've ever seen, and the bed the biggest. There was hardly no traffic noise at all, but...

We were not welcomed to the hotel, instead first we were told we'll get the two rooms we had booked by 3, but after 3 p.m. we only got one room, which in the +32° heat was very inconvenient as we were not from the same family. We were told to wait for maybe half an hour and call the reception every now and then to ask if the room was ready. Ridiculously stupid. Well, the cleaner did hid best and making up the room only took a quarter or 20 mins. As we tried to get in the room, the key cards did not work, as they were originally coded to the other room which was next to the one we got for one person of our party. The envelope had the number of another room and obviously some angry customer had gotten our room. The worst ever Check-in-Experience of our lives. The hotel in itself is great, but the potential will be lost if customers aren't treated like kings, or ar least better... In addition, flushing the toilet did not work properly. I had to be the unpaid janitor and use brute force to push the stiff smaller button for several seconds. And, yes we could have said about this whilst oir stay, but didn't want to wait for a move to another room.

Location close to Piccadilly station. Room had a high ceiling- invaluable in a heatwave. Wide range of breakfast items, enabling the tyranny of the full English to be easily avoided.

Small room - difficult to walk down each side of the bed. Bed very low and with a soft mattress. OK for one night but would not want this room for a longer stay.
