Hotel Cromwell Stevenage

We have stayed numerous times over the last two years and I like the hotel usually

We were put in a room in the older part which had no air con in a heatwave. The window only opened a couple of inches. And the bathroom which was even hotter had a window but that didn’t open at all. The fan was extremely noisy - so we had very little sleep. We asked for the window to be unlocked to help but was told it was health and safety- however we walked through the car park and we saw numerous windows wide open- to help with the heat. Very unhelpful- we could have signed a disclaimer ?

Beautiful room in a lovely building. Bed was very comfy and bathroom was very smart. Nice dinner and breakfast and the staff were very helpful. Parking wasn't a problem either. Will definitely revisit if in the area again.

Air conditioning would have been nice, but considering the heatwave the room was surprisingly not too warm.

It was very clean and tidy

The property was very elegant and charming the staff was excellent

Rooms were comfortable so was the bed great location a d bar restaurant on site and ample parking

Breakfast wasn’t great coffee was way to strong and the breakfast was very greasy the scramble eggs were anaemic.. would prefer the option of a choice between set breakfast that are cooked to order

The heating wasn’t strong enough. Normally it should be as this is winter
