The Continental Hotel Derby

It's was very nice checking in with a woman called smilelea. And the restaurant staff were very nice and so was the food. But in the morning I went greated with a very rude woman. That just brought out breakfast and dumped it on the table without asking what we would like or not like. The breakfast was cold and not edible at all. It's was a very big let down 1st thing in the morning. Then when I went to ask about it all there was nobody to ask.

Radiator didn't warm up. Shower too hot and didn't really cool down. Mattress old, feel the springs. Dated decor and fittings. Cooked breakfast was not appetising, bacon, beans and scrambled eggs all tasted sweet, Sausages not of good quality, and portuon size small. Staff freindly.

Suited my purposes. Good food also.

Ok for a cheap single room. Good breakfast included. Hotel forgot to turn my room heating on. Also some fire door closers need replacing. The doors bang loudly.

Car park is horrid, not much parking availiable and very tight to get out of spaces. Water pressure in shower poor as is rhe wifi!

The services from Rebecca, the manager and other receptionist lady were great and thank you so much for the upgraded room which is greatly appreciated. The hotel is generally very good especially in the restaurant and reception areas and although the rooms were a bit dated they were clean. The location is 15 mins walk to the centre and there were lots of free parking at the back of the hotel. Breakfast was good but the sausage was poor quality! I would return on my next visit to Derby. Thank you for all the great service!

Room was ok, room service clean and tidy decor needed maintaining.

Staff were great, room was worn out, noisy and very hot. Not terrible for the price but not ideal. Breakfast was good though!
