The Surfbreak Hotel

Convenient to our family and downtown. Cute. Very friendly place.

I like the hotel, but the problem i had was parking. If the parking spaces are full you will be out of luck. You will have to find parking somewhere else and risk a chance your car might get tow. Also there were molds near the tub. the tv in my room wasn't working properly. You can hear it but no pictures

Hotel is clean and beds are conformable. Easy check in a staff was very helpful. Close to many places to eat and shop. Beach is a few minutes drive, very close. Over all we had a great stay.

Avoid. This hotel is right by the interstate 5 freeway overpass and what's worse is that the hotel is not staffed. I repeat: there is no staff. You will be asked to upload your driver's license upon booking and no one will be at the front desk during your stay, you will just receive a code for your room's door, and to add insult to that, the key entry barely works! Absolutely dreadful. Only staff you will see is the housekeeping but they will not clean your room even if you request it (by text) over your multi-day stay. Not a safe vibe and very noisy from highway and sketchy clientele that smoked and partied in the shared halls. I will be reporting my experience widely so that others don't repeat my mistake.

I felt that for the price it was more than what I expected.Balconys out front nice touch.Cafe across the street was good.I will stay there again next visit to San Clemente

Needs major upkeep and our room entry code failed to work. Difficult to find anyone to help

Everything was great the only thing we did not like was the lack of access to staff for check in or questions. The water pressure in the shower is too strong need shower heads that can adjust the stream.
