The Surfbreak Hotel

The property was nice. My only complaint is that’s it’s listed as soundproof and it isn’t. Staff was nice though but no staff after 10 pm.

Our second stay at Surfbreak Hotel and still love it! Quiet, family-friendly, and super convenient with the free San Clemente trolley stop right at the corner. We’ll definitely be back!

Quaint place has everything needed to feel comfortable. Patio table outside door overlooking ocean is nice.

I was able to get the room for a very good price so I was nervous that it would be kind of crappy and rundown but it was just the opposite. The room was very clean, spacious, and renovations were recently done which definitely gave it a newer, more modern feel. It was an ocean-facing room, but still quiet at night and really closeby to the SC pier/downtown SC, near lots of shops and restaurants which was very nice! Overall, very cute and cozy place and I liked that there were no overnight fee/incidentals (unless you happen to damage the room). The only thing I didn’t really like was that after 5/6 PM there is no one at the front desk office to help you out with anything.

Clean, close to everything you need. Bed is comfortable, easy check in and out online with a code, microwave and small fridge are inside the room. Close to the beach ! Reasonable pricing !

Nice hotel but they could do better with room cleaning. The freezer had hair in it. The tub is black and needs to be resealed. The shower handle was broken. There was a huge fall risk due to the huge crack in the floor. The number of dust bunnies behind the bed and in the fake plants were egregious

Clean and the location was great

Arrived and door was ajar. Room was dirty and clearly being used. Front office was closed, staff was hard to get a hold of. I ended up leaving. It's unfortunate, because the hotel was conveniently located.

I enjoyed our trip here. It was close to where we wanted to be and the area has great free transportation with the trolleys. So we were able to leave our car parked in the hotel and not have to hassle with finding a parking spot. My only complaint would be that the sink in outside the bathroom was spitting out the water and making a mess. Other than that we enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay there again.
