The Surfbreak Hotel

Hotel facade is so beach and cute, cheaper than many other hotels in the area. Dining and freeway make it easy. Beds were fine. Floor was literally falling apart in the room. Corners glued back on dresser. Tub not the greatest looking but appeared “clean”. Toilet paper holder etc pulling out of walls. Needs a lot of maintenance. Other room we had there for more family was the opposite. The floors were fine but the beds were terrible. Missing the TV on the wall. Potential but needs so much work.

Great area but the room was are run down. Floors had damage, sink sprayed everywhere. Shower water would spray out. Place is good if you are young and surf. Will not stay again.

The floor / rug was gross. Was tacky/sticky and it smelled.

The property was nice and clean. We had a good time.

Clean. Modern. Firm mattress.

Ok a bit loud

supposed to be ocean view and it’s not in the room i got i booked ocean views

I had book this room for my wife and I to have a night near the beach we started off at the beach was an amazing day until we went to check into our room. First glance from outside not great right next to the freeway and across from a donut shop not best first impression On arrival we had pre checked with a room key code already for access which is nice but about the only nice thing about this hotel. The fact that our room is on the 3rd floor we though cool better view ! Jokes on us no elevator had to hike up 3 flights in a narrow staircase to get to a room with next to zero view of the water or ocean more like a front row view of the freeway “beach or ocean view I think not !” Once we got into the room it got even better ! The room was dirty the bathtub was black no joke black disgusting hair inside the tub and the floor was so damaged in the bathroom sink area it was unsafe to walk could trip with shoes on or cut your foot if your are bare foot unacceptable! When I spoke to the front desk they said we can give you a new room a quickly declined and asked for a refund which was a process in itself got the refund and book another hotel in Oceanside harbor for only $25 more and was 10x better all around from start to finish

Great location

This was a great place to stay—my only issue was with the door lock not working properly—but they are upgrading those soon—excellent place otherwise!
