Well located by the river and leading straight into old town. Staff all friendly and helpful. All did a good job. Restaurant good with lovely setting by the riverside. Bell boy particularly helpful, friendly and welcoming, very 'on the ball'

Spa prices too high, no relationship to local prices, more in line with European prices

Anantara is a lovely hotel centrally located for the restaurants, markets and spas around Hoi An. We were initially annoyed by banging in the morning as we awoke. The hotel had been flooded only the week before following heavy rain and workmen were clearing up the damage. After we complained about the noise, the staff were very apologetic and offered a complimentary massage which was appreciated and the workmen started later the following days we were there. The manager, Le Thi Thanh Van was very professional and we sympathised with the flood damage. The rooms were light, spacious and complimentary fruit each day. A good, varied selection of foods at breakfast including a gluten-free area.

We did not stay at hotel (will def next time).. we spent time at the hotel bar and had Truang as our bartender .. what a wonderful man, hard worker, people pleaser. He would be the reason we would come back and book here! Great service

Beautiful location. If weather had been better we could have enjoyed lovely facilities such as the pool which looked gorgeous. Fabulous staff. Great breakfast.

Loved our stay here - the bedroom studios were wonderful - great style! Staff were all fab - shout to Chau in the restaurant - she was so kind. Would recommend to anyone. Great breakfasts and dinner

Good mid-range hotel that is well maintained and managed. The location was very convenient with central Hoi An only a 10-15 minute walk away. Boat trip on river was a little disappointing and would not recommend. However, overall really enjoyed a relaxing stay here and staff were very friendly and helpful.

From the moment we arrived, Anantara Hoi An felt like an oasis — close enough to walk or bike into the old town, yet far enough away to feel like a calm, riverside retreat. The setting along the Thu Bon River made every meal feel special, with views that seemed to slow time. What stood out most was the staff’s remarkable attention to detail. Every interaction felt personal and genuine. On our last day, the driver Anantara arranged for our Marble Mountains trip went above and beyond — greeting us afterward with cold towels and chilled water waiting in a thermos, then spontaneously showing us his favorite coffee spot and a superb fresh seafood place at An Bang Beach before taking us on to our next hotel. That kind of thoughtfulness defined our entire stay. We left feeling both cared for and inspired, and it’s made us eager to seek out other Anantara properties in the future.
