Howard Johnson by Wyndham New Braunfels

It was a quick stay while on our way to our ultimate destination, unfortunately there were small roaches in the room on the table and even found one on one of the beds.

The bed was comfortable. It was pretty humid inside and a lot of stuff had been painted over.

When we got there I did not believe that it was the right place. The pictures are 100% amazing photography or 100% photoshop. The property is run down, it smells like mildew, the floors felt constantly wet, and I found out why… the window air conditioning unit took on about 10 inches of water, I know because I used the trash can to stop it flooding the floor. Breakfast.. the same cereal containers that sat out the entire time we were there, and a big communal glass jug of milk that I had no intention of checking on. Otherwise… 4 pieces of toast/a hard-ass bran muffin/ or 2 bagels. Nope. Ew

Bathroom area was not that clean. Breakfast was terrible, got there at 8:00, two dried out egg things, 2 very grey sausages. Curtains in room 208 were all torn up, maybe a dog? Bathroom caulking was dirty. Staff were so so.

Decent hotel for the price. Had a weird smell to it.

The bedsheets had stains and the continental breakfast wasn't appetizing at all....sausages looked uncooked and the eggs looked like they were liquid eggs that were microwaved.

The hotel was clean but had a foul odor in lobby and room.

Checkin was fine. TV didn't work well and had trouble with signal. AC was loud

Very happy with our stay! Room was clean and quiet, breakfast was decent, staff was very friendly. Great deal for the price! My only problem (which was not the hotel's fault) was I received a message to do a precheck in and said they wanted my card number for easier check in. Doing that put a hold on my card along with a second hold when the card was charged So i had two holds for the full amount on my card that my bank cannot take off yet. The hotel manager said she usually tries to warn guests not to do the pre check in. Again, not the hotels fault, they were very nice about everything
