Hotel Sigiriya

The location is very good. The Sigiriya rock is directly visible from their pool area. The property overall is a very well-maintained one, with nice spacious rooms, and a nice bar overlooking the pool area We had members with special dietary needs, and the staff were exceptional in catering to them, even if they didn't have it on their menu originally. Special thanks to Mr Daya, Mr Hashan, and Mr Shehan for ensuring these meals were freshly made, tailored to our needs. A couple of these meals with dhal curry were not even charged and were provided complimentary at breakfast, despite being specially made, which was a very nice gesture on their part. They even managed to whip up a delicious cake in a couple of hours, for a birthday celebration, despite us having forgotten to inform them in the morning. They also had some great cocktails on their special menu (I forget the name, but one had a curry leaf base, which was fabulous). The pool is well-maintained and has a good temperature. Overall, a great experience. Thanks to Mr Daya and his colleagues for making our stay memorable.

Beautiful hotel. The room was lovely with comfy beds, lovely pillows, very quiet and great a/c. We ate in the restaurant which was an extensive choice of great quality buffet for about £12 each. The breakfast was also amazing. Fabulous pool area with comfy pads for the sun loungers. You can’t walk to the town after dark though because of elephants but you can get a tuk tuk.

Really great hotel, clean rooms, very friendly staff and the buffet was delicious. I specially Aruna took great care of us!

The hotel staff were friendly and attentive when needed. Specially unambuwaa & bawani from the reception. There’s options to play chess, darts and carrom and we even requested a deck of cards and they provided it to us. The view by the pool is absolutely beautiful, the overall atmosphere is serene. The best part is the location, Sigiriya itself is only a 10min Tuk ride away. You could walk to the town in 10-15mins. The hotel itself seemed a bit old so it could do with a bit of renovation although this was really not something that bothered us. The place was kept very clean and well maintained. We would gladly recommend

We really enjoyed our experience at Hotel Sigiriya. From day one, everyone was very friendly and helpful, always there with a smile on their face. The food was phenomenal and the entire hotel had a great vibe. It was very calm and gave us a great chance to rest after a few hectic days. We would definitely recommend the ayurveda massage. Big shoutout to Ashoka and Akash for the massage. We also really appreciated Chaminda and team at the restaurant, their hospitality was excellent. Bhavani, Rajitha and othere, at reception, were always there with a smile and were a great help to us.

Hotel’s set on sprawling grounds with a direct view of Sigiriya Rock, excellent vantage point to observe the rock through the day.. Single story buildings set amidst well manicured grounds preserves the rural village scene of the surrounding area. Rooms show some age though setup to modern standards. Bed was firm but comfortable, thin sheet for blanket. Breakfast buffet had good selection of local and western options. Some changes to daily spread which was good for multi-day stays. Polite yet discreet staff a plus. Hotel was full but did not feel like it other than a slight wait for check-in. All in a great base for the cultural triangle.

Have had a lovely couple of nights here (as part of our Exodus holiday) the staff are very friendly and helpful, rooms very good, great pool. The food has been excellent, with very extensive buffet catering to all tastes and they are extremely helpful with any dietary needs. Very close to climb Sigiriya. Highly recommend

Starting from check in to departure Bhawani take care of us very well. We are very happy with the stay and definitely we will visit again to hotel sigiriya.staff is the best . Dinner buffet had lots of verities. Specially need to mention swimming pool view. Rooms also clean .

Excellent service. Very pleasing staff. Bhawani, Manisha from the reception were very hospitable and pleasant. The buffet spread was very good. Excellent hoppers. Chamath from the masala chai counter is a sweetheart. Always smiling and helpful.
