Some staff helpful. There was one calm and nice little restaurant where a la carte food was served some times, not open all day.

You can't swim at this dangerous beach. Very isolated area, you feel like in a prison. It is 13 km from Negombo town, not 6,5 km as written in your information. Extremely long wait if you don't wish to eat their buffe', lunch an dinnertime. Choosing a la carte could take up to 40 minutes until you got your food. It is an old a bit run down hotel, many stairs, no elevator.

Room service was surprisingly good and our room was on the beach which is a lovely setting.

It’s really dated and needs modernising, seems to be a huge language barrier, felt quite chavvy. Pool bar serves only drinks, no snacks or ice cream for children. Only one coffee machine for hundreds of people at breakfast. Also no aircon in shared areas made restaurant feel uncomfortably hot. It seems like a low end Tui resort. Given we paid over 500USD for one night before flying home, we weren’t impressed. I can’t believe it’s 4* it feels like 2*
