Moorings Hotel

We had an overnight stay as we were arriving at 1230am and leaving at 600am to fly to Tanna Island so needed something cheap but clean and comfortable for the night. The transfer we organised directly with the hotel never arrived which was very frustrating as with our late night flight all we wanted to do was go to bed. We waited for 15 minutes and ended up catching a taxi to the hotel which ended up being cheaper for us anyway. The guy at reception was very helpful and apologetic. He organised a taxi for our early morning pick-up instead of the the pre-ordered transfer. This again worked out cheaper for us and the car was waiting for us when we arrived at reception to check out early in the morning. Continental breakfast was included in the room and I had confirmed with the hotel via email to have this delivered the night before as we were checking out very early in the morning, this didn't happen but was worth more hassle than worth to bring up when checking out.

Love this place, the staff are fantastic - especially Jonathon on the morning/day shift. Facilities are basic but there’s everything you need and location is perfect. Food is great as well!

Moorings Hotel had lovely and attentive staff members. The restaurant and bar were wonderful. The pool was great and the view to the beach is awesome.

Moorings is a great hotel all round. The staff are friendly and the food is great. I definitely recommend the Vietnamese caramelized pork from the lunch menu. Delicious! The vibe is great! Be sure to chat with Jonathon, he is a terrific guy!

The staff at Moorings are friendly and always helpful. The location is ideal, just a easy walk to town or the beach for a swim. The food was always very good, reasonably priced and promptly served. My wife and I enjoyed our stay at Moorings and would happily stay again on our next trip to Vanuatu.

Moorings is a great choice for budget accommodation in Port Vila. I stayed in the Harbourside room and it was excellent - stunning views for a great price. The rooms are simple but well equipped and feel largely well maintained. Love that there is a pool on-site too. Just a short stroll in to town, and great views from the whole hotel. Overall, incredible value. I'll definitely be back next year.

Close to town, nice view of the water, would stay again

We booked this accomodation for its advertised location to the markets etc. For older people it is a difficult walk. Our accommodation was budget style. The upgrade we were offered was same size rooms, with better views @ 2,500 vt extra per night We had one chair on our narrow verandah, which looked onto a blank wall. There was not enough wardrobe or shelf space. The shower was difficult to regulate

Loved it. Lovely place, waterfront room was awesome. Pool and dining area were lovely.
