Garner IHG Hotel Birmingham South East

We had dinner in the evening and breakfast. Dinner was amazing, freshly cooked and tasted divine. I had Ceasar salad, It was the best I have had. My husband had curry and said the same. Service and friendliness was exemplary.

There was not anything we didn't like.

Value for money

The room really was tiny and the lack of noise insulation meant you could here adjoining rooms , outside corridors etc

Staff and electric charger in car park

As a disabled customer I found the parking a bit of an issue as the disabled bay is tucked in the corner because parking is quite tight someone had parked on the line leaving very little room to open the door of my car. Only one disabled bay sadly but at least I could park . Also asked for a downstairs room which they did give me but it’s got a couple of quite high steps to get up plus it was raining so a bit slippery . Managed it by hanging on to the door frame . But did not by any means make the stay a bad stay. Just to be aware of if you have a disability .

Staff molto gentile sia per il check-in, sia per la colazione sono stati tutti professionali e super disponibili considerando anche il nostro inglese non perfetto ci sono sempre venuti in contro! Posizione fantastica perché è ad un minuto a piedi dalla stazione del treno col quale si riesce a raggiungere centro città ma anche altre città vicine veramente molto comodo. Consiglio vivamente sia per il comfort sia per il personale che per la posizione strategica. Hanno anche un parcheggio interno gratuito per chi soggiorna molto comodo.

Breakfast was of good standard had continental paid for 4 but only had 2 due to not feeling well & did enquire about room service which would have willing paid for was told they did not provide that service (stayed in previous IHG hotels & was provided with room service).

Didn't like that room service cannot be provided & should be if necessary for the the amount I paid. Also the room was lovely clean adequate bathroom & bed reasonable (twin room) but could just do with carpets being updated a bit on the grubby side.

Staff were very friendly and welcoming. The room was small but had everything I needed. Shower was a good size and the toiletries were a very high quality. TV was large. I would definitely stay here again

The room was quite warm, although there was a fan that made it more comfortable.
