Village Hotel Swansea

This hotel is in the heart of the City Centre which is walking distance or a short drive away. It is a beautiful hotel and staff very friendly. The facilities in the pool area were great. I would definitely stay here again.

Stay was fine. Just a room only forbthe night after a leaving do with work. The only thing i found that i wasnt happy with was there was no glass in the room for a drink of water. Other than that room was clean, tidy and comfortable.

Very good value

Extremely noisy both nights, from outside the hotel, rooms above and the corridor. Large gap under door which allowed the corridor light to shine through into the room all night. Didn’t sleep well either night.

Excellent hotel, stayed for 10 nights with 3 football teams, staff were very helpful from Rachel, Rebecca, Cassie and Ffion on reception to the team in the restaurant led by Hannah and Patrick, they went out of their way to meet our requirements. Breakfast was excellently managed by Tina, who was friendly and helpful. Rooms are spacious and cleaned daily, the usb ports an added bonus. Being gluten free the chef cooked my food separately and the steak Sophie cooked on my last night was the best I've ever had cooked. The team are a credit to the hotel manager Simon who was always available to support the team. Keep up the good work and thanks for a great stay.

We visited the restaurant on Friday 4th April 2025 at 17.45. Our reserved table was ready with a chalkboard with our name on it, which meant the table was easy to locate. We selected our items from the menu, and whilst we waited a while for the food, when it came it looked very nice. I chose the item below. I have an intolerance to chilli and chose this as there was no mention of chilli in the description. “ Hearty Teriyaki Teriyaki glazed salmon with toasted sesame seeds on a base of cauliflower rice infused with turmeric, ginger and garlic with asparagus & tenderstem broccoli. Low in carbs and rich in healthy omega 3, vitamin C and gut-friendly nutrients to improve your memory, heart health and immune function” However, when it arrived it was not cauliflower rice as described but yellow rice with chilli. I spoke to a very helpful member of your team, who returned the meal to the kitchen. The team member returned with the explanation that the rice came ready made and the chillis were already included. My concern is that the rice was definitely not as described on the menu and could have caused adverse reaction if I had eaten any of. I would expect any substitute to be advised before serving, especially as I had noted on the booking that I did have an allergy, which was never referred to at any stage. It was definitely not the cauliflower dice described in the menu. I was offered an alternative meal and which I did enjoy. . The service from the bar /service team we received was overall very good , sadly marred by what I assumed to be a substitute base without any indication or notification. I have therefore rated the visit as a 2 due to substitution of food without reference to us. I have emailed this response to the hotel 2 days ago as they requested feedback but sadly they have not responded.

Had a lovely stay. Hotel well maintained and very handy location. Bedroom was huge and beautiful. Staff very pleasant and helpful. I had a problem with my booking (my fault) and FFION sorted it. She was so very efficient helpful and pleasant. A big thank you to the team at village swansea for a lovely weekend

Where do I start? I arrived 20 minutes early after a very long drive but refused check in which I suppose is fair enough so I thought I would get a drink. Normally I would say understaffed but it wasn't, I counted 6 different staff milling about but only 1 and sometimes 2 serving, At bar for ages. God knows what the rest was doing as the table I got to was definitely not clean. Ordered food and drink on second visit and again took ages, drink forgotten, wrong receipt given. Had to ask for football commentary which for a place that models itself on football is not great. Approximately 3 seconds after football finished terrible music returned. Only football fans was I'm and was a collective groan as majority would have loved to hear pundits and managers thoughts. Dart board in ridiculous place so impossible to play as table in way. No proper oche. No bottled water, no biscuits in room. Not a shambles but I wouldn't rush back. App not working. Bang average

Stayed at the Village Hotel, Swansea for a 2 day business trip. The hotel is central to the Bay and about 15-20 mins walk to the city. Plenty of restaurants within a 10 min walk towards the bay. Check in was very quick and the young lady on reception was very helpful and polite. To avoid any mishaps with parking, I would advise on arrival to let reception know of car registration as the car park is privately owned. Room - modern spacious room with all that you needed, including an iron and ironing board. Bathroom, also spacious and the shower was really good. Only 4 hangers in the wardrobe so you might need to bring some additional ones. Plenty of drawer space, but one of the drawers was full of someone else's rubbish and remains of an Uber Eat they had ordered on the 17th March - hence I didn't use the drawer. Housekeeping did sort of service the room during my stay by replenishing the teas and coffees, no change of towels, rubbish removal or bed made, that didn't bother me as I was only there for 2 nights. Facilities - didn't use the spa, gym, pool etc due to not having much time available, but would have paid the additional room cost of 5.00 to do so. Breakfast - plentiful and lots of hot and cold buffet choices. Dietary needs catered for. Staff - staff friendly, helpful and seem to be happy in their roles. Shout out to the breakfast / conference / reception ladies, all hard working, often with a smile on their faces and really polite. Conference facilities - very good bright and spacious area. Supporting staff were really helpful polite and always on hand. Also well catered for. All in all not a bad stay and may use again if I was in the area.
