Village Hotel Swansea

Beds are so comfortable , Room was clean and had everything I needed.

I hosted an event here and it was brilliant! The staff were so friendly and helpful, throughout the planning process and on the night they were ready to help. The buffet was delicious and had very good variety. It went down a storm with the guests. The facilities were excellent. The room was spacious, the stage was a good size and they even had a ramp for our wheelchair users to use. The bar was literally right outside our room so very convenient for guests. I would absolutely book future events here!

Arrived to check in to get barked at by young girl saying your rooms not ready yet! I politely pointed out that it should have been ready at 2pm ( it was now nearly 3) She then said , Oh you booked a club room, carry on!!! Not the best start, I found her manner a little off putting. Anyway I carried on checking myself in and we went up to the room. Newly decorated and a decent size. Bathroom was lovely and fresh, only one hand towel for two people…. Comfortable bed but though club rooms had king size.. Food in bar and breakfast was of good quality and would def eat here again. Staff ( apart from one young boy who looked like he wanted to be anywhere except behind the bar, he was miserable and extremely slow at serving.. All other staff were excellent - thank you. Negatives - Air Con wasn’t working in room and it was very warm. We opened the window but it was too noisy to sleep! Room doors slam and are SO noisy! Would recommend club room and would come again.

Clean & quite

Room was really comfortable and loved the sauna and steam room.

My room was clean but a little soulless, no glasses for drinks, no where to hang used towels in the showeroom. I was a guest at a formal dinner at the hotel, which was ok, but were afforded little time after it to socialise with friends when we were first asked to vacate the function room and its bar, to the main bar on the ground floor, which also promptly closed, and were ushered into the foyer area bringing a dissapointiearly end to the evening.

access is not brilliant a little tucked away,but we had an annual old boys dinner,the hotel is very clean staff worked well,very courteous,but and it is a very big but,£34 for one bottle of south african wine,way overpriced not happy. ROGER TROLLOPE.

Customer service offered vip without the price tag ! Stayed here loved the gym and all the new equipment the place was friendly clean ans tidy as it has been when I stayed before! Well worth return visit would recommend to friends! Free parking is a big bonus

The hotel was decor is dated. Leisure Facilities are restricted for kids but no mention website? WiFi is poor and not suitable for a business trip. We highlighted this and there was no resolution. Breakfast was basic with not much choice or variation.

Good hotel. Enough to do with having to walk into the city for a one night stay.
