Village Hotel Swansea

I stay in many Village hotels, unfortunately I was informed by the staff that the housekeeping only starts at 5pm! I found this very odd as that's when the majority of guests will be returning, I returned back at 3.30 and had to go back to reception to replenish my towels, tea and coffee and get someone to empty the bin, even with the door card on they still seem to think its fine to leave all rooms until 5pm which I find very strange.

Very noisy you could hear people walking on hallway like they were in the room.

Very comfortable hotel in a good location. Great breakfast!

Breakfast - usually when visiting other locations like Cardiff or Bristol, Dudley ,the food is spot on however with Swansea the hot food was really cold and undercooked and never seemed to be checked especially for temperature. On this occasion the room wasn't busy however things weren't stocked up like tea bags , bread for toast. Yogurts are usually in ice to keep cool however these were warm. In general loads of little items and condiments were missing which all other village hotels supply. Really poor experience

No signal on tele so had no channels and there was no shower gel in shower

This was a group trip. The hotel was picked as it has plenty of parking. The rooms were a good size and felt clean and tidy. The checkin was very easy. The wifi is free to use and apart from the occasional slow moments was strong enough. The breakfast was a selection of hot and cold options in a large dining area. The bar snacks were good and reasonably priced.

Perfect stay, felt very welcomed at reception

I’m a member of the Village gym in Swansea. I wanted to mention a member of staff personally who takes so much pride in her work. I often bump into her in the ladies toilets at the front of the hotel. Mandy ( Griffiths ) is always so friendly and helpful .The toilets are immaculate after her hard work and she’s a credit to the hotel.

Two night stay. Room was large and clean. For some reason they supplied us with 2 bath towels and ond hand towel. Not normal policy apparently when my husband queried on departure. Bar food was tasty, we didn't use the restaurant. Plenty of parking although you pay extra. I would return.

The door to room 328 is not fitted correctly, when ever someone opens another door near on the corridor (especially the fire exit door), it shakes and rattles like someone is trying to force themselves in. This woke and frightened my young daughter several times through the night. I would not stay again for this reason. Also if I had known the pool / gym were open to the public and not just hotel residence, I would not have booked the hotel, it was far too busy. The ladies on reception were very nice and helpful.
