Village Hotel Swansea

There were a few things I could mention about my stay, but the main one that really stood out was the cost of a children’s jacket potato with beans. I genuinely wish I could include a picture of what they served—it’s hard to believe they charged £10 for it. Absolutely ludicrous. And before anyone reading this says, “Just pick something else,” this was an allergy-directed meal. It wasn’t about being picky—it was about safety. To make things worse, the air conditioning actually made the room hotter. It ended up being a rough night’s sleep, which definitely affected the overall experience.

The hotel I couldn’t not fault at all. The staff were friendly and polite. I was little bit early for check in so I decided go to bar wait until my check in time which was at 3pm. Got to the room the room was beautiful, window open and A/C on too. Everything was clean. Beds were cleaned and comfy to sleep in. Fresh towels too. I couldn’t get the TV on so I walked to receptionist tell the TV is coming up with no information. The maintenance man arrived in 5 mins just a lead wasn’t put in the TV. Oops few mins went by the maintenance man come back again to check if the TV was working and everything else in the room was working too. After certain time you can park your car for free. One happy bestie she was :). Following day went to the pool had loving swim in the pool. Breakfast was lovely too :). Couldn’t fault the hotel. I shall be returning :):).

Booked this place as seemed to be a quiet location for a Sunday evening and was hoping after paying for club room upgrade I could have made use of the pool seeing as I believe it was a full length one but sadly kids are on till seven pm and it was probing busy which surprised me and I felt disappointed not being able to get a session in. Still location was ok, room on top floor was nice and spacious, a fridge would have been really handy especially for upgrade room, the sofa was nice touch spread out n thankfully the air con worked all night. Shame after paying I didn’t get my free water bottle 🙁🙁 I’d stay at this chain again.

Nice quiet location

Air conditioning not working; shower hadn’t been cleaned prior to my arrival so littered with body hair; badly stained carpet; woken at 06:20 by the thumping reverberations from an exercise class two floors below….. I really don’t think it necessary to say any more. This is not the first time these issues have been raised with the hotel so don’t expect things to have changed anytime soon. Ghastly!

Loud noise from gym classes, booming music and shouting into a mic until lags at night and from 6am. Multiple reviewers say the same and that shows that they just don’t care about the customer experience in the hotel. I guess they must make more money from the gym! Avoid!

Worst village hotel I’ve stayed at very bland and restaurant closed main bar extremely busy and slow service. Rooms in need of a re design.

Lovely hotel, comfy beds and a good night sleep was had.

Brilliant stay, staff accommodation. Breakfast not very organised, no cups, milk etc. Nothing topped up or checked regularly. We had to keep asking for things but staff didn't acknowledge with a smile would just walk off and get what was needed. Not what you expect from a hotel of this standard. Overall would stay again but unsure if we would book breakfast!
