Where will I start…this motel is advertised as a 4 star motel. I would rate it a 2 star. Bathroom shower had mould in grout lines, behind bathroom door floor had not been cleaned for some time, there was makeup on the bathroom door which I got all over my hand when I opened the door. There was a hole in the wardrobe door . The air conditioner rattled and was full of mould. When we spoke to the owner/manager he threw his arms in the air and said ‘I don’t care’. Then when we were packing to leave we got a call from the female manager/owner yelling at us that the air conditioner was clean last week and saying ‘ if I give you a discount you will still complain and if I don’t give a discount you will still complain’ and hung up. We had been there for a medical procedure and booked this motel because it was close to the hospital. These owners/managers have a monopoly with people who live out of town and staying there for medical procedures but their attitude is far from empathic. We never got a discount (even though we didn’t ask for one) and the manager/owner emailed us an invoice showing she had charged us for 2 nights even though we only stayed for one which is unusual as we had booked via booking.com. I have also advised the hospital about this as they are on there recommended list. When we return 2 days later (as the medical procedure was postponed) we stayed in the 2 star motel closer to the hospital which had cleaner rooms even though they were older and friendlier staff for half the price. I would not recommend Best Western Ipswich Qld

the shower needs fixing. water was spraying out of the shower onto the rubbish bin next to the door
