Best Western Ipswich

The staff were very nice and helpful.

The facilities were very basic. There were just mugs and wine glasses, no plates or cutlery. Everything had a worn look to it. The metal pedal bins were going rusty on top. The ironing board was very old. All the tap wear in the bathroom was very old. I have stayed in much better lower rated motels. It was yet another motel which, in my experience, boasted a restaurant and room service on booking.com. Once I was there, I discovered that there was room service breakfast only. Booking.com needs to do something about these entries on the web site. Someone also needs to look at categorisation. When I book a 4 star motel, I expect everything to be in much better condition. It felt extremely overpriced. It did not in any way live up to other Best Western motels in which I have stayed.

Overpriced, run-down and tired, in desperate need of general maintenance. Uncomfortable beds/pillows and low quality cheap linen (sheets and towels). Managers/staff were rude and unfriendly.

I like that the bedroom was separate and the place was clean.

I did not like mould on the ceiling of the bathroom. I did not like that guests have to wash up their own dishes and put away. Who knows how clean the last ones were. I did not like that house keeping bang banged very noisily on the door at 9.15am. Checkout is not until 10am. I can only think this was to make sure we were awake. This is completely rude.
