Lovely property and excellent service

Very clean and excellent service . Lovely loch view .

This hotel is misrepresented. It is situated close to the loch, but there is a busy street and large house between the property and the water. Thus, our pricey, 'lake view' rooms, had views of the parking lot, but they were on the loch side of the property, so staff didn't seem to mind we'd been duped. The rooms itself were run down, with very uncomfortable beds, and every step our upstairs neighbour took sounded like the footsteps of a giant. The property is badly in need of renovation, and if your shower goes on more than 10 min, the steam will set off the fire alarm (a lovely footnote in out stay). One high point, the hotel bar has an excellent whisky selection, but the young man that served us seemed fine with giving my hisband his tipe in a filthy glass, and when we got to our table, we found an open, half-used mayonnaise packet tucked in with the new ones. I might have accepted this at half the price, but at such a premium, we were sorely disappointed. Finally, a heads up for handicap-able guests like my 71 year old mum: there are no lifts - a bit of info that would have been extremely helpful at the time of booking.

The hotel is located overlooking the loch which was lovely. The rooms in the Beach House were very large with Sky TV. Unfortunately, the hotel needs a bit of TLC. The sofa in the room was heavily stained and the room needed a lick of paint. We found the evening meal menu quite expensive for what we were served. The breakfast menu had a good range of items but I had never seen such an intriguing (not in a good way) cold continental breakfast.

beach side room we were given had no view of the Loch. Hotel wasn't bad but I do get the impression that as with many hptels presently theyre trying to claw back lost revenue from a captave audience. nicepeople thete who are overworked due to a staff shprtage. Food was average.

Amazing stay in the beach house. Fantastic views of Loch Lomond. Will definitely return.
