The Inn on the Horse Farm

The owners were very friendly and accommodating, and shared stories of the inn and the local area. We would stay there again.

This place is UNIQUE for sure, absolutely lovely. Comfortable. Stunning huge bathroom. For a house built in 1880 it’s extremely clean, not even a paint peel.

I like the farm as a place to stay over night. The farm needed work.

I booked a weekend in May 15m to May17 2020 for my son . They took 656.56 out of my account, Then called and cancelled , the reservation said they would call now its August EXPEDIA.COM hasn't even given me a credit. this is BS

I stay at B&B's multiple nights every month so I am familiar with what a good one looks like and this was not. This Inn has more of a boarding house or air b&b feel. Unfortunately it was not worth the money spent ($295.00). It has a beautiful long driveway up to an older country Victorian. Unfortunately none of the lights were on for me to come up the drive nor up the stairs. They knew I was coming and did not put any outside lights on for me. The steps are peeling. The Innkeeper gave me my key & did not take me to my room. I had to go searching for it up. They did have the music playing and the gas fireplace on when I arrived to the room, which was lovely but they hadn't turned the heat up. The ceiling had water stains in multiple areas and a hole was seen. These water spots could mean they have mold. I was not shown around down stairs nor were there snacks. The smoke detector was chirping and they removed it. The innkeeper tried to assure me I would be fine and didn't really need a smoke detector in my room for the night!! I do believe that in itself is a code violation. When I told the wife, they did move me to another room. All rooms were clean yet out of date. The wallpaper is peeling and the linens are old and thin. The curtains were falling off the rods and they had placed a small mattress on the larger one. It was not very comfortable. I left there at 6:30 in the morning because I couldn't stand being there any longer. They need to put some money into upkeep.

A quiet setting well outside Boston. Sweet and attentive service. The exterior of the house and the grounds need a lot of restoration starting with a paint job. The breakfast is excellent. The house is filled with precious antiques and Knick knacks. Each is great but if the clutter were reduced by half those that remained would certainly stand out better.

I was supposed to be staying here with my wife, but she couldn't make it, so I 'batched' it and still had a great time visiting with the critters and hiking around the property. Would be great for couples that are really comfortable with each other (not always the case). Great hospitality and cool environs.

This Victorian-style B&B is situated on a scenic property. My room was very nice and cozy. My room had its own bathroom with hot tub and shower - I only used the shower - all was clean and welcoming. I did not have an opportunity to try breakfast (I believe it was served between 7:30 and 8:30 am, as I had to depart for my next destination before 7:00am.

It was warm and welcoming. Breakfast was good. Simple - not the typical homemade muffins or breads. But the owner was very nice and engaging with all guests. Room and house was ok but did not seem terribly clean.
