Minoa Palace Resort

Stayed 6 nights in a pool view room which we were upgraded to. Had a beautiful view from the 2nd floor. The bedroom and bathroom were both very spacious and clean. The buffet breakfast was excellent. Was fresh every morning and had a very large variety of hot and cold dishes and sweets. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. Overall a pleasant stay in a beautiful property.

We had such a lovely time at this resort. Excellent facilities, very clean and great customer service. Angelo on reception was always keen to help answer any number of queries we had. Enjoyed the spa and indoor pool very much. Conveniently located on beach side and easy commute to Chania town. Would highly recommend this hotel.

Positives - lovely staff in the restaurant. The hotel is a short walk to the beach and a twenty minutes bus ride to Chania. Negatives - Breakfast and dinner - nothing special and disappointing for 5* hotel. The hotel lacked atmosphere and if you are looking for a Greek experience, you will be disappointed. Comfortable room, with balcony, however, there was construction work carried out all day, every day during our stay.

My husband and I stayed at the Minoa Palace for a portion of our honeymoon with the half board package and we greatly enjoyed the experience. Their location was great and transportation to Chania was easily accessible. The half board includes breakfast and dinner in which the food was excellent. We choose this option so that we could venture out during the day and explore other places for lunch. Their services were amazing from the spa to the various classes you could participate in. The pools were beautiful and easy access to the beach. I would highly recommend a stay here if you’re looking for a place near Chania.

Excellent breakfast and dinning options, friendly staff and great hotel, pools and gardens.

We had a wonderful stay at The Minoa Palace. Everyone was so friendly and helpful. The food was very good, with plenty of choices. Only downside was we had a room with a private pool but the sun didn’t get on it and it was very cold, so we tended to use the communal pools. Not worth paying the extra. Chania old town and harbour worth a visit.

We spent one week at Minoa, celebrating our wedding anniversary and my birthday. The service and compliments from the hotel were outstanding, made us feel like royals. This very stylish hotel complex, shiny and clean, great architecture, and all the well maintained gardens , makes this a perfect place for a hideaway for a couple. Free tennis lessons and a lot of other free activities as well. The Galazio restaurant serves gourmet food, everything lokal, fresh and tasty. For lunch we just loved the avocado salad at Thallassa beach restaurant. We highly recommend this hotel.

The best hotel in Plantanias. The staff are super friendly and helpful. The hotel is always clean, accessible and full of character. Breakfast was superb and the restaurant by the beach a lovely venue to eat it. An area I would suggest improving would be the menus of the restaurants to cater more for vegetarians and vegans but this is not a criticism.

We were travelling with a 16month old so really liked the facilities for toddlers - the playground and two children’s pools as well as the cot that was provided. The staff were all very friendly and accommodating. The hotel is in a great location to get to the beach, and restaurants along the strip. The food was nice in the restaurants - although not too many choices for small children.
