Minoa Palace Resort

We are just returning home from a wonderful week's stay at this beautiful, well run, 5* hotel. The hotel is spread across two sites separated by the main road but both sites are connected by a bridge across the road. We chose a room with a private pool which overlooked the swimming pool which was close to the beach. We were on a half board basis and ate breakfast in the restaurant overlooking the beach and the sea. Our evening meal was in the restaurant located back over the bridge in the other part of the hotel over the road. Breakfast was good with a varied selection of food to suit everyone. Every evening they had a different theme ie Mediterranean, Asian, Italian and the food served reflected these themes along with salads, breads, cheeses, and meats. Desserts were varied and very creative, there was also fruit and assorted ice creams available. On some evenings there was live entertainment which added a nice pleasant vibe and made our meal rime interesting and entertaining. The staff at this hotel are very helpful and friendly and go the extra mile to make your stay a pleasant and enjoyable experience. The maid came in every day to clean our room and change towels. The bedding can be changed if required but we felt this was unnecessary as we were only staying for a week. This hotel offers nice little touches, there was a bottle of red wine in our room when we arrived along with two healthy nutrition bars and a bottle of water. Most days a member of staff bought sweets to our room for us which was a nice gesture. Both my husband and I slept so soundly all night as the bed and pillows were so comfy. The hotel is located in Plantanias, there is everything you need close by including car or bike hire, supermarkets, restaurants and shops selling souvenirs and gifts. The bus stop is outside the hotel which for €2.20 you can catch the bus into Chania old town and Harbour. Going in the other direction, the bus takes you to Maleme which has a few restaurants and lovely views. The only downside of this location for us was that the beach consists of small gravelly sand which is not kind to the feet especially as you sink into it and it is very uncomfortable to walk on. We did try the beach further along the coast but it is very much the same on this coastline. Apart from this it did not detract from the wonderful holiday we had here at this beautiful hotel. Would we stay here again - most definitely.

We've stayed at Minora Palace multiple times and each visit has been exceptional. The hotel truly lives up to its 5-star rating. The beautiful pools are a highlight, and the breakfasts are amazing. The staff is incredibly helpful and friendly, creating a genuinely welcoming atmosphere. The food and drinks are excellent, and the overall ambiance is perfect for a relaxing holiday. We highly recommend Minora Palace and can't wait to return!

We had a lovely time at Minoa Palace. They have great customer service and hospitality. They were very helpful between emails and phone calls prior to our stay and going above and beyond to answer the questions we had before arriving. They arranged a private taxi to and from the airport for us which didn’t seem to over priced. It’s just over a 30 min drive with no traffic. We did the B & B and it was nice. The property seemed like one of the largest in the town and was well kept and very nice. Beach chairs and umbrellas were around the pools and beach. It was nice that people were not allowed to “reserve” chairs and at least in May, it felt like there were enough spaces for everyone to sit somewhere. The beach was a very nice beach with a good portion of it of softer sand (not just rocks). We felt the reception was very accommodating. Housekeeping was quick but good and frequent. We didn’t get a chance to use the spa as we were trying to book a couples massage with only 2 days in advance but heard it’s a great spa. There is a gym that could use a few updates but was overall nice to have. We booked a room with a private pool. We couldn’t really use it because the water was always too cold for us and it’s fairly deep (a problem for someone only 5ft tall.) maybe by August the water in the pool will be warm enough! Our patio was shaded by noon so do with that info what you will. The resort is surrounded by many little markets and restaurants (all really good) and has a bus stop that takes you all the way to old town Chania which is 2.20€ p/p which is really convenient. The area felt quite safe and many tours picked up from this area too. The resort has many personal little touches that made our stay feel like they cared about our satisfaction and was a great value for our money.

We just got back from a wonderful vacation in Crete, where we stayed at Minoa Palace Resort with our family, including our one-year-old son. The experience exceeded all expectations! The hotel was spotless—from the rooms to the pool area and beachfront. We stayed in a double room in the bungalow garden area, which was cozy, comfortable, and equipped with a great adjustable air conditioning system and a nice bathroom. Housekeeping did an amazing job every day. Check-in and check-out were quick and hassle-free, with clear information from reception. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful throughout our stay. We had full board, and the food was a highlight! The meals were varied, delicious, and beautifully presented. The restaurant staff did everything to make us feel welcome, and we have to give a special shout-out to Sergio, who was incredibly kind to our son and made our meals extra enjoyable. Some dinners even had live music, adding to the warm atmosphere. Our son has a food allergy, and we received great assistance in choosing safe meals for him. One improvement could be allergen labeling on the food. We are absolutely thrilled with our stay and highly recommend Minoa Palace Resort. We can’t wait to come back!

Exceptional in every way.

Great hotel. with a wonderful beach. Walking distance from great food and shopping. We stayed in a suite with a private pool which was a plus for a quick cool off dip. Room Service was great, perfect for a late evening snack since we like hitting the restaurants early to avoid the crowds.

5/5 points! Beautiful venue, super helpful and warm staff, delicious food, nicely equiped gym, lovely spa, and clean & cosy pool area. Just perfect experience all in all! Perfect location, loads of wonderful restaurants near by and a bus stop right in front for easy (and cheap!) trip to Hania. Buses run almost 24/7 several times per hour. If you need a relaxing and luxorious holiday, you need to pick Minoa Palace <3
