Staverton Park Hotel & Golf Club

No air conditioning for a very expensive upgrade with no lift and carrying bags down flights of stairs! Only 2 disabled parking bays and no assistance or support!

Excellent value in friendly nice location. Good food and excellent service in dining area, breakfast till 09.30 was a bonus

I have been coming to the staverton now for a long while and this time I had a twin room which was right close to reception with a mini fridge (requested in advance) and a fan which was really helpful with the hot weather we had over the past week. After speaking to day manager, she helped me out alot with the price and fridge I asked for while staying at the staverton. I've been going here a while now for work and have got to know some of the staff quite well😜 (even some of the night staff,) they are always happy to try help with whatever you need while staying here. There is some new staff members at the hotel now and they are doing a good job too considering how much there is to learn with such a big hotel. I was happy with the twin room, with the 2 single beds (1 of me and 1 for my stuff..J\K) and the fact that I could see my car from the window (if parked in the right spot😏) The staff are usually buzzing about doing this and that, keeping an eye on the things that need doing, I liked the new digital board they now have showing what's happening during the week and the person\persons that set it up did and excellent job l..it looks great 👍 The water pressure could do with a tune up with a couple of other bits, but I was greatful for getting a room so close to reception, made it a lot easier when having a week's worth of stuff with me. I will have to enquire about reserving a parking space next time as the carpark is usually quite full by the time I finish work.

While staying at the hotel for work, I usually bring in my own foods in a box and some bits for the fridge for work (which I have been doing since I started staying here. I wasn't very impressed that I was basically forced to sign a food disclaimer for food (which was for the food at the hotel not for MY OWN FOOD that I was bringing in) even after explaining that it was for work and showing the day management that the food was in sealed packets for the fridge and nothing to do with the hotel, he still insisted I sign the disclaimer and hand over my little bag with the food in which I reluctantly did in the end (which they then stored in their fridge at reception) and staying if I needed anything id have to ask! I always enjoy staying at the staverton, but I don't encourage any of their staff to tell a customer about their life story on why they can't afford to stay at any hotel while speaking to them like a child! Not impressed! Professionalism wasn't a strong point that day.

Great location, with a superb friendly and welcoming atmosphere, check in was smooth and painless. Rooms are large and very clean, and everything you need within. Anything extra just ring reception and they will cater for you (like a fan for the hot weather). Great value for money, breakfast included, and a great nights sleep, very quiet the entire evening.

Excellent course,in good condition and very true greens. Booked directly with the hotel and communication was excellent. Comfortable accommodation, golf and hotel staff were helpful and the food was very good. Id return happily for a mini break.
