Hotel Vera

Comfortable but the room was small and the outlook was at the back. The breakfast was good if not brilliant. The staff were polite and helpful.

I've been to this hotel already 3 times and intend to stop by there in the future.

My friend and I stayed at Hotel Vera for 6 nights and we felt like we really lucked out finding the place. The room was very clean and comfortable. The hotel staff spoke English (which is not common in Russia). There was complimentary breakfast served until 11am and the hotel restaurant served good food, very reasonably priced. The windows had good light blocking shades. You can walk to the main sights from the hotel, but it takes a long time and is tiring. Fortunately, there are frequent cheap, easy trams that stop just outside the hotel. We'd definitely stay again.

Vera Hotel is a short walk to Smolensky Park Metro Stop. The staff are friendly and helpful. Most speak English. The room was very clean though the shower was a bit difficult to get into and out of. There was no way to heat water in the room but across the hall was a lovely free tea/coffee counter with tables and a potted palm to add a natural feel to the surroundings.

Outstanding visit, spent four days there. Location was nice, only a block away from the bus stop, grocery store, street was quiet and the area was clean and peaceful. The staff here very helpful, the service was great. The room compared to a Holiday Inn Express in the USA, small but efficient. The bed and pillows were perfect, everything was spotless and well-maintained. We had the room with breakfast option, perfect for getting a good start to the day. The only small complaint would be the WiFi reception was weak on the 4th floor - but that just provided an incentive to go down to the lobby and sit in comfortable chairs or the couch where reception was perfect. I would return again, and recommend this as a great stay for anyone!

Everything was great. I think the bathroom was a bit small and lacking the fan. Then there was no climate control in the room - I wanted to turn the A/C off at night and didn't find any controls. But those were all small things - the overall experience is very good and comfortable, the staff is friendly and helpful.

Excellent value for money. Location good, near to trolley bus stop and walking distance to Metro. Eat in the restaurant one evening and the meal was very good. Bar cheap in comparission to other hotels and bars we visited. Helpful service, booking taxis etc. Would def recommend.

It's quite misleading as the room displayed while booking is not as the provided. It's completely diffrent class (lower) room.

I stayed in this hotel for 4 days, although the location is slightly away from the city centre. However, there are buses in front of the hotel to the city or we can take the subway. Nice hotel with helpful staffs. Their resturant is great too. The room is tidy and clean.

Excellent hotel. Location is about 10-15 min walking distance to the center. Very safe neighborhood, very friendly and helpful staff. For the price of 40-60$, next to downtown St Petersburg, it's one of the best hotel I've ever been to. I am very experienced world traveller, and I do recommend this hotel if you plan to stop in St Petersburg.
