Hotel Vera

A nice and comfortable hotel in a quite area. The location is a little off from subway station. However, 12 min walk or buses available. Hotel staffs were superb.

Nice hotel for those who visit the city for siteseeing. Clean rooms and friendly staff. Reasonably good breakfast. Location is a bit of problem.

Good hotel for the money. Convenient location, good public transportation. Great front desk service, very helpful. Clean and updated modern bathroom. Even complimentary breakfast was pretty good with big variety of choices. The only problem I had was a box-spring instead of mattress, but when I mentioned it at the front desk, they put a soft mattress on top. Over all I would recommend this hotel.

The Hotel Vera is a charming small Art Nouveau hotel at a very reasonable price. The Hotel staff went out of the way to be accommodating to us, and to help with a 3:15 AM departure to the airport. The Cafe, which is a part of the hotel, serves delicious food for extended hours. Breakfast is included in the price of the rom. We especially enjoyed the singing and piano music from the hotel regulars one evening.

Excellent staff, good food including breakfast, coffee mediocre, shower cramped and dated, minifridge included, good value for the rate.

Hotel staff spoke English and were very helpful and nice. Bedroom was good size with comfortable bed. Extra room with pullout sofa (which was really a pullout chair) was tiny but it worked. Pullout sofa was very hard with a bar across the middle but for some reason I was able to sleep on it without any problem. Heard hall noise loud and clear from the extra room with the pullout chair. This was a problem only on the two nights when we had a particularly noisy neighbor who yelled in the hall late at night. Hotel provided complimentary water which was great since people don't drink the tap water in St Petersburg. We were there during a heat wave. While the air conditioning was on the weak side, it was good enough to dehumidify the air and I was comfortable without having to open the windows. The hotel is not close to the central attractions but there are buses that stop close by and which run frequently. I would definitely stay here again if I were to return to St Petersburg.

Hotel Vera is a great hotel. The hotel staff is fantastic. We stayed in 3 different hotels in Russia and the staff here was the friendliest and most helpful by far. The cafe and lobby are very pretty and the breakfast buffet is very good. Our room was quite small but clean and comfortable. Located in a nice neighborhood with several nearby small grocery stores. 10-15 minute walk from the metro and main railroad station. We were very happy that we stayed here and would definitely stay here again.

This was very nice and clean hotel within walking distance of Nevskyi prospect and subway station. You could also take buses, the bus stop near hotel. Breakfast was good, hotel was clean and staff was friendly. There was a good cheap cafe "stolovaja" next door with local food. There were no mosquitoes. The room was quiet, clean with good shower.I would stay there again.

The room was clean, but a lot smaller than expected, but had all the facilities we needed. The hotel had character which was why I chose it. The staff were extremely helpful with any requests and were lovely to deal with. Just a short walk up the road you can catch an electric bus into the main area. Breakfast was simple but quite nice!
