Waipouli Beach Resort and Spa Kauai by OUTRIGGER

Convenient location with a plaza across the street & a nice beach on the back

Our condo was terrific! We searched and searched for a setting like this, with a full kitchen along with the amenities of a beach resort. This place was perfect for us. We watched beautiful sunrises on the beach most mornings. We had a partial ocean view from our second floor condo, which was well worth the extra cost! Grocery, coffee, shave ice, and many restaurants nearby. With our rented car we were able to find great beaches for snorkeling and swimming.

The rooms, grounds, and ammenitied were prestine. While there is only one pool it is so large that it never felt crowded. There were ample lounge chairs around the pool deck. The pool attendant, Spam was amazing; he provided us with a list of must do's while on the island. The beach was clean and parking easy.

Perfect for families with small children!

Lobby had zero staff. Sometimes you'd see a 3rd party security card. Our room didn't include the laundry soap starter pack it was supposed to. Pool had zero staff too. No lifeguard either so kids slide was always chaotic with bad kids making their own rules. Resort was clean and affordable with a huge room, but the lack of staff wasn't great.

Our second time at this location! We love this property for its convenience. It’s right in the middle between South and North side of the island. The girls at the front desk especially Lani are awesome. It is so nice to walk across the street to Safeway, ABC Store, and getting Shave Ice. We booked an Outrigger room so our experience could be different from other owner rooms.

All of us (family of 4, kids aged 12 and 6) agreed that our vacation in Kauai was the best we've ever had together. A big part of that was our choice of accommodations. At first I was a bit worried about the price, but the joy we experienced and the quality of vacation we had proved it was the right choice. Great location, especially for a family like us that chooses to cook breakfasts and some dinners instead of dragging picky eater kids to restaurants, the facility and grounds were beautiful, sun rises over the ocean, easy proximity to all the island's attractions, and the wonderful pool and water slides. We all had a great time and I think a big part of that was "home base" of the Waipouli Beach Resort. Even having to spend a chunk of vacation evactuated due to the tsunami warning did not hamper our good time. :)

Stayed in H101, the best location on this property. Amazing view of the ocean! Just steps from the surf. The unit is impeccable with many premium features ranging from ultra modern kitchen to upgraded linens. This unit is right next to the Oasis restaurant. The food and service were outstanding. Can't say enough about how great our vacation was!
