A Cape Cod Ocean Manor Inn

Very personable place. Lovely view out the back of the Salt Marshall. It is truly a bnb experience where you have the chance to meet other travelers. It is a 10- 15 minute walk to the Nantucket ferry terminal. It is across the street from a public beach (though it's not as nice as beaches as further out on the cape). The very Irish man running the place is fascinating and full of energy and very friendly and welcoming.

It's not a hotel but a room in a house with a private bath and with access to a living room and decks. This was good for myself, a very European experience, but some may desire more privacy - for example, it was quiet but not as quiet as a hotel - it is in a refuebished historic house. It was OK by American standard, mostly sweet pastries, various fruit and berries. I don't eat sweets or cereal. Love European breakfast with bread, cheeses, cold cuts, salmon. But we got excellent bagel, boiled egg and cream cheese . And as a big bonus we could it it on the deck with the view of an egret on the marsh. Also cozy room, very friendly Owner Martin. Tea and cookies available all the time. Perfect location opposite endless beach and less than a mile walk to Main Street with all the restaurants and shops.
