Barony Castle Hotel

The grounds, facilities, staff are friendly, restaurant and cocktails. They also they have a leisure centre with sauna and swimming pool. Dog friendly and welcoming.

Very good evening meals. It is a lovely quiet location.

Limited times available to eat in the evening due to coach parties.

Could have been a good experience

I’m someone who doesn’t like leaving reviews but given my circumstances I feel like I should. Although I enjoyed the stay and all the staff were nice. I unfortunately had money stolen out of my room, more specifically my bag £340. I contacted the manager who called the police, I have not heard anything and was made to feel like I completely made this up. I booked food that night which was nice, but there was no gesture of goodwill! I was a little surprised and disappointed with this, as I booked the hotel based that it was not some ropey rundown hotel and that I would have no worries. Based on this experience I’m not sure if I would stay at this hotel again. Even though I am now back home I am very much hoping that the hotel will continue to investigate this as a matter of importance. Guests should feel safe and comfortable at the hotel, especially given the current 4 star rating.

De vriendelijke ontvangst en de mogelijkheid van ontbijt en diner ter plaatse. Hierbij kon alles op kamernummer genoteerd worden, ideaal!

De enorme lange gangen en onduidelijke bordjes. Deze hingen aan de muren en makkelijker is aan plafond. Dan loop jeze minder snel voorbij.

Comfortable, fantastic breakfast, meals good menu. Comfortable beds good room

Nothing really. Could do with comfy chair in room, and better pillows.

Lovely setting and staff - food delicious.

Squeaky floorboards in my room and adjacent rooms. Could hear my neighbours and sure they would have heard me. But once I was off to sleep I knew no more til the morning.

Very pet friendly and lovely location. Staff were very helpful.

Very tired looking bathroom , noise from the floorboards was something else , poor people below , hotel in general requires refurbishment particularly the bedrooms and bathroom
