Ala Kai Bed and Breakfast

If you want to get off the beaten path and stay at a place where you can experience the best of Hawai’i then book a stay at Ala Kai. We happened on to this lovely place and we are so happy we found this gem. It’s convenient to all the Big Island adventures and sits in the most beautiful spot right on the Pune coast. Your hosts here are thoughtful and kind and really make this the place to stay in east Hawai’i!

The place is nice, you can hear like you r living in a jungle.

This is the perfect spot to kick back and enjoy the Big Island. We had a wonderful room, fantastic ocean view and a great pool.

Ala Kai B&B is near Kaloli Point with the cleanest air in the world and no traffic out front; ocean views; large swimming pool, and accommodating, intelligent, and friendly hosts, Suzy and Erich. Includes continental breakfast. Take a hike to Shipman's Beach (Ha'ena Beach) from Beach Road nearby. We highly recommend staying here.

We had a wonderful week at the Ala Kai. We stayed in the cottage which had two bedrooms, a bathroom and a full kitchen - a perfect get away spot for two retired couples. Keaau is a good location for seeing Volcano National Park and the beautiful Hawaiian birds, vegetation and dramatic ocean on the islands eastern, quieter side. Wonderful memories!

Great stay at this B&B. Hosts were friendly and accommodating, setting up an early breakfast for us, being early risers due to jet lag! Lovely location to do day trips to the volcano or nearby waterfalls. Be sure to take the trail out on to the lava cliff for stunning ocean views.

This was our favorite stay on any trip we have had yet. The unit was completely clean and look as described. Breakfast had fresh fruit, bagels, and other items. The location was beautiful and had wonderful neighbors. Erich and his wife were amazing and bright individuals, we will stay here again!

The home and property are stunning! This location truly provides you with everything you could want Their are fruit trees and everywhere and it is so close to the ocean. The hosts Erich and Suzi were so friendly, helpful and accommodating; they went out of their way to give us tips and advice on things to see in the area, provided an amazing breakfast daily, We are already planning a return visit to the The Big Island and when we do we will certainly be staying at Ala Kai again! This bed and breakfast was easy to find with plenty of parking. Short walk across the street leads to an open grassy field with an obstructed views of the sunrise each morning. We were lucky enough to see Wedll‘s breaching the first day and turtles playing the next. The host puts out a wonderful homemade from scratch breakfast each morning. The bedrooms are comfortable clean and well appointed. There are plenty of books DVDs and such if you want to do that while you’re at the property. The pool was clean and easy to get in and out of. It was a wonderful property.
