We spent four days at Marina Lodge and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The hotel has a charming, Nubian-style architecture that gives it a cozy and authentic atmosphere. It's not too big, which adds to the feeling of being in a small, family-run hotel where guests are treated with personal attention. The staff is highly professional and attentive without being intrusive. You can tell they enjoy their work and are treated with respect by the management, which reflects in the warm and welcoming service. The food was tasty, and although the selection wasn’t overly extensive due to the hotel's smaller size, it was of good quality. The Egyptian evening, with its traditional dishes, was a real highlight. Breakfast offered a variety of fresh and flavorful options for every taste. Our room was spacious and beautifully decorated, and the swimming pools were well-maintained. All in all, a wonderful, relaxing stay. Highly recommended for those seeking a personal and authentic experience in Port Ghalib.

One downside is that space around the pools is limited — the sunbeds are quite close together and often fully occupied.

First, I would like to thank Mr. Arafa for his attention and support during the check-in process. What truly makes a difference in any hotel stay is the attention and support from the staff — and Ms. Nancy was exceptional in this regard. She was very polite and professional. Shortly after we arrived, she called our room to check if everything was okay and if we needed anything. Later on, she even passed by guests at the pool to ask if they had any feedback or requests — a lovely touch. The room was clean, comfortable, and we were pleasantly surprised with an upgrade to a better one with a pool and marina view, along with a complimentary fruit plate. Water bottles, tea, Nescafé, and sugar were replenished daily without needing to ask. Breakfast was fairly good, and dinner was even better. From my previous stay at this hotel, I could see improvements: the beach area has been enhanced with both sandy and rocky sections, the path to the sea is now easier to walk on, and the beach bar offers great snacks. The pool bar was also enjoyable. Overall, a relaxing and well-managed stay. I would definitely recommend it.

Regarding the issues we faced: Upon arrival, although we clearly stated that we had booked through Booking.com, the receptionist insisted on giving us the wrong wristbands. Even after we insisted, we were told to go have lunch first, and the wristbands would be changed later — although it would have been much better to correct the mistake immediately. The lunch at the hotel was okay, but it was neither varied nor sufficient. The food quality was noticeably lower compared to our previous visit. We also experienced a sense of unequal treatment between local (Egyptian) guests and foreign guests from a few staff members, which was disappointing. One incident at the beach stood out: we left our towels on the sunbeds, as is common practice among guests, and went for a swim. When we returned, the towels were missing, and the staff’s response lacked professionalism — they simply said it wasn't their responsibility and that we should contact reception. On a positive note, the daily evening shows were very enjoyable, but their duration was extremely short. On two of the five nights, the show didn’t last more than 30 minutes. The animation team needs more members and a more active presence throughout the day.

The hotel was nice and all stuff were nicer ,Thank you for every body from the stuff you make to us more happy.

In my opinion every thing in the hotel was excellent , only the food not very bad but need to improve and more kind of different dishes , And the distance from hotel to the beach is a little far. but in General all another things were wonderful..more thanks to everyone in this hotel ( Marina lodge port Ghalib)
