Marina Lodge at Port Ghalib

1. Staff: they were all simple awesome, since we step foot in the hotel, we met both the deputy manager and the guest relation manager, they both welcomed us and gave us the tour. and they simple fulfilled every whim we ever had since then. 2. Food: simply awesome both taste and variety. 3. Room: VERY spacious, clean, SUPER comfy and well organized. 4. location: great views, awesome snorkelling on the beach "we even saw a stingray fish". many pools which were kinda cold even the weather was hot. 5. value for money: AN ABSOLUTE BARGAIN. definitely going there again whenever i've free days to vacate. a huge THANK YOU! goes to everyone working there for making our -budget- stay feels like a super five stars experience, for real.

a very minor thing, the animation team were kinda noisy and annoying, talked to the deputy about it and he said he will manage, and i do believe him. our experience screams so.

The hotel is quite close to the airport, it's a 10 minutes drive from there. The place is good if you want to spend just a day before a liveaboard departure. Personnel is really friendly and professional.

Sea entrance and the sea. Since the hotel is located in the marina, it's not the great place for those who want to enjoy snorkeling as sea is not that clean and not much to see.

Very good option in Port Ghalib. Tasty food, friendly and educated staff, not bad local alcohol. Overall service is better than in similar level hotel in Sharm-El-Sheih. WiFi works in some places of the hotel, not very fast, but allows to send photos and messages normally

First impression was very nice as we came around 8AM and they offered room immediately without additional cost (including breakfast etc.). The billed cost was exactly the agreed one. Staff is in general friendly (especially restaurant part). Hotel was half full only so there was plenty room around, not sure how it looks in high season. Hotel is placed in "long" walking distance to Port Galib and Marsa Mubarak so if you like walking, you do not need any taxi to visit some places around.

1) Main highlight is very, very poor food package you receives if you are not in the hotel for a meal - we traveled 20 hours to Luxor and received two small breads with one slice of ham/cheese + small juice. No fruits, vegetables, cakes etc. What wee saw at other travellers was completely different. 2) Cleaning guy was strange letting his trolley at our door placing or removing "do not disturb" label etc. But not cleaning the room too much. 3) Sometimes noise - they prepared probably for main season, but hearing drill at 7:30 AM is not what you want on holiday. 4) What we hate is smoking - there are no dedicated places so it happens wherever you sit (outside), there can be some smoker nearby. There were some more similar things but in general hotel and stay was very nice, just do not expect European standards on every single step ( while somewhere standards are higher, e.g. restaurant staff).

A perfect place if you want all inclusive vacations without expecting anything else

Marina Lodge is lying silently at the bay of Port Ghalib, nearby is the own beach (5 minutes on foot or by shuttle service). The reef with beautiful corals and many colourful fishes is very easy to reach from the beach. Marina lodge is a very fine hotel, the meals have so many dishes of very good taste. The staff was very friendly and helpful. So I can recommend this hotel very much.
