"Luxurious yet intimate"

Luxurious yet intimate, my wife and I greatly appreciated the hospitality and accommodations. Room service was excellent, the room was comfortable and quiet. The grounds were beautiful, and we were surprised how easy it was to park and walk to the lobby.

"A Special and Indulgent Experience!"

We took in as much of The Umstead as we could and it was such a special experience! We went for our Anniversary. We went for one overnight stay with a spa day. We started at the bar and enjoyed a fun cocktail. We had a wonderful prix fixe dinner at Herons with amazing service and the food was incredible. Then our indulgent room had a special surprise waiting for us for our Anniversary! The next morning's brunch at Herons was incredible food with wonderful service - no different than the night before. And spending a whole day indulging at one of the best spas I have been to in my life was a special treat! Every person we interacted with treated us like we were special. All parts of the facilities from the room, common areas, elevators, public bathrooms and spa were so clean, new and amazing. While you pay more for this experience, it is completely worth it. I have traveled to a lot of high end establishments and this one is top notch. I highly recommend any and all parts of The Umstead.
