This place is absolutely incredible. The setting is breathtaking, right on the cliffs with amazing ocean views. The architecture and design are unique and beautiful, creating a truly special atmosphere. Everything felt magical and unforgettable.

Nothing major. Just keep in mind that the concept is very natural and rustic, which may not suit everyone, but it’s part of the charm.

The jungle, the soft lighting at night, the sense of privacy and intimacy — everything feels intentional and sacred. But what truly made this experience exceptional was the yoga and sound healing. The morning yoga practice was absolutely beautiful. The teacher was not just guiding poses — she was guiding presence. Her energy was calm, grounded, and deeply attentive. She created a space that felt safe, supportive, and transformative. It wasn’t about performance. It was about connection — breath, body, awareness. Every movement felt purposeful and aligned with the surrounding nature. The sound healing ceremony was so powerful that we attended it twice. The experience was immersive and profound. The vibrations felt like they were moving through every layer — calming the mind while awakening something deeper. Time seemed to dissolve. It was both grounding and expansive at the same time. The cacao ceremony was heart-opening and intimate — gentle yet meaningful. And the temazcal was intense in the best way — cleansing, releasing, almost like a rebirth experience. This place offers more than relaxation. It offers depth, healing, and true reconnection — with yourself, with nature, and with the person you’re sharing it with. If you’re looking for romance with meaning, this is it.

Calm and vert romantic place infront of the ocean. Authentic building related to nature. You have excellent WI FI and 1 place for charging phones. They provide drinkable water in bottles every day. The main problem is the staff in Elixic restaurant- extremely slow service and extremely high prices related to the restaurants infront of the hotel. If you know in advance that there is no - minibar - coffee machine - hair dryer - electricity in the room (provided candles) - shower (you have bathtub with a little bit salty water from their own cenote) You will feel excellent!

Although I found the resort to be beautiful, the customer service was far below the level I expect from a hotel of this price range (I paid $600+ for ocean front room/night). There are no concierge reliably onsite. You are given a WhatsApp number to text and sometimes they can be very slow to respond. First issue I ran into was the concierge’s lack of punctuality and poor communication regarding bike rentals. She promised a bike at 8am but 15 mins before the agreed upon time texted me that she could not follow through. I agreed to wait until 10 but was delayed a second time until 11. The second delay was not even communicated to me without my prompting. See chat screenshots. The main issue was my balcony was flooded by careless guests upstairs who left their outdoor tub running (see pic). I was splashed and had to change. My phone also got wet and I could not charge it for the rest of the night until it dried. I could have had other valuables such as electronics out that could have been irreparably damaged and I could not use either loungers, which were soaking wet for the rest of the day/night. The water ran for 10 mins before hotel staff could stop it. No one came to clean my balcony. However, most disappointing was the concierge’s refusal to take accountability for the incident (again, see screenshots). I would have been happy with a complementary margarita but instead was completely dismissed. I asked to speak to a manager on site and was told there were none. I asked for an email address or phone number and was given only the reservation email address. I detailed my experience in an email and waited 2 weeks before righting this review. No one replied. It is my experience that guests’ conduct at the hotel is within the control and part of the hotel’s responsibility and that top tier hospitality establishments, which I had assumed Azulik to be, value customer satisfaction and have accountability. I was sadly wrong.

You are basically in the middle of the jungle, which is a pro and a con

Well, where to start… the rooms are small, humid and you can hear everything from all sides. There are no showers, no separate bathrooms (it’s included in the bedroom) and also they are very inflexible. Late checkout is not possible, staff is quite unmotivated and everything is completely overpriced. I live in one of the most expensive cities on this planet, but I was not used to paying these kinds of prices. Value for money was really bad unfortunately… the hotel is also not the newest anymore and I think a lot of people have come to realise this, that’s why at least half of the hotel was empty during my stay.
