Lovely hotel, helpful, friendly staff. Lovely room. Amazing breakfast. Thank you.

There is no lift, but not surprising in such a beautiful listed building. It was a long way to our room involving a lot of stairs, my husband has bad knees and I have bad hips so that was challenging, but not the hotels fault as we did not mention it on booking. If we were to stay again I would request a more accessable room.

"Exceptional"

Room (#2) was spacious. Have to walk down a "rabbit warren" to get to it and it overlooks the carpark, but it was very comfortable, was well kitted out and was a good size. It took us by surprise at least.

"Ideal comfortable hotel in Penrith: excellent breakfast."

Friendly long-term staff. Clean rooms. Excellent cooked-to-order and self-serve breakfast. Hotel was refurbished a couple of years ago and is still in good order for an "older type" establishment.

Door to bathroom needed "oiling" as very noisy: advised reception in morning.
