The Holbrooke Hotel

Exceptional, beyond words. Hotel appearance and history lived up to our expectations. Entire stall were all pleasant (special mention: Fiona & Ryan at the front desk).

This hotel is a gem, nestled in the heart of the historic downtown. The rooms are well-appointed and offer a comfortable stay. While the breakfast is decent, it doesn’t quite match the exceptional offerings of the restaurant and bar. If you’re seeking a quieter room, consider booking one in the back building. Plenty of parking.

Amazing amazing amazing. Such a relaxing and comfortable hotel. Everything was way more than I could have imagined. And dont get me started on the balcony, I will be becoming a regular.

Everything was great except for the room experience which was not what I wanted for my anniversary. We wanted to stay in the main hotel building; however, we were told that no rooms were available in the main hotel even though the property was 89% occupied, which means there were still some rooms available in the main hotel. The back house building is like staying in a bed and breakfast, which was not at all what I wanted for my anniversary. We begged the front desk employee to help us out so we could stay in the main building to have the whole experience, but all we got was a couple of tokens for two drinks. Also, it was pouring rain, which means anytime we needed to go to our room, we had to get soaking wet. The bedroom temperature felt like it was 90 degrees since that building is based on a central AC system. Not pleasant at all.

Hotel didn’t set heating at reasonable temperature. It was very cold in the room, even colder in the bathroom.

Love the location, the historic atmosphere and the Golden Gate Saloon!

Parking

Comfortable, impeccablely clean room. Staff was very friendly (check-in, restaurant, cleaning, etc.)

Parking is rather difficult, we drove around for 75 minutes prior to a spot opening up behind the hotel.

The Holbrooke is conveniently located in the city center with its quaint shops, galleries and quality restaurants. There's nothing ostentatious about the hotel entrance or the lobby and bar. I liked that. the dark wood interior is warm, welcoming and evokes the historical character of the city. It's clearly a favorite watering hole for locals giving the place a homey feel. The rooms are clean and tastefully decorated with period decor. Loved that there is no TV in the rooms. The hotel and neighborhood are quiet at night. My second floor room offered views of the neighborhood behind the hotel with trees in full autumn metamorphosis. Glorious in the early morning light. Hotel staff were friendly and helpful, but did not stand on the kind of ceremony that sometimes makes service too stiff and formal. I'll be back.

Historic updated with a great vibe, bar, restaurant with a fabulous chef,and shops and wine tasting in the building tool parking, complimentary coffee scones

If you book on booking. Or hotelscom your in the back Purcell house , no bathrobes, and no coffee in the rooms which I love having.
