Rodeway Inn & Suites Monticello

Wow. Im at a loss for words. Still I will continue… Arriving at the rodeway we thought this place may be deserted. No cars. Empty pool. And roadway misspelled “rodeway” on the sign. To my suprise upon entering the most darling, scrumptious, little munchkin of indian boy came to greet us. What. A . Rascal. We purchased our room- an unparalleled price in one of the most spectacular places ever- Monticello, USA. The encapsulation of the American dream. Entering the room we were instantaneously enveloped by a charming musk that seemed to stick to my skin and penetrate my pores. Mmmmhmmmmmmm that fresh Monticello odor- I hope this smell sticks to me forever. I wish they could bottle it up as a perfume. They could calm it monti, by cello. And sell it at Macy’s. Or at the conoco down the road. We were blown away with gratitude when one out of our two keys actually unlocked the door. Yippee! Inside, we exploded at the seams to see our gorgeous, humble abode for the next magical hours of our stay in Monticello. The two beds were generously adorned with THREE plump pillows and to our great delight SHEETS and a BLANKET with ONLY a couple of stains. These indelible markings told a rich story. Love was made here. Trucker Babies conceived perhaps under the pale montecello moonlight?… Although the owners of this place did employ a bald man, and clearly suffer from dyslexia, we will never forget this diamond in the ruff, this immaculate image, this place where dreams really do come true. Thank you… thank YOU. the *roadway inn will forever be in our hearts, minds, souls, and pores. Xoxo 😘

The rooms were dirty. We found spilled beans all over the floor. We will not be going back there.

Property ok, room was what we needed for the night, could be updated, pool was closed for maintenance. Blankets are very thin, whish hotals would provide normal bedding. My daughter gorgot her stuffed animal and with the help of front desk it was returned to us, we where very grateful for the help.

The staff at the Roadway Inn + Suites were very kind + professional. We booked a King room with fridge/microwave + found out the fridge wasn’t working properly (we travelled with an infant and milk needed to be kept cold) and they quickly changed our room. The first room had a ceiling fan, second did not but the bed was comfortable + the bathroom was clean and ideal with a bathtub. The breakfast is served 7-9am and appears to be dry goods, fruit, etc. and check out is 11. Overall we would stay here again.

Bed was comfortable, continental breakfast had variety. The rooms need repair. Tub leaked continuously, air conditioning was very noisy, rug had a big rip.

The reason for booking was the pool. There’s no water in pool. This is the second visit that the pool is not working. Property is good booking, but if you promised the kids a pool, don’t book here.

50 feet from truck route. Only about five rooms occupied. Asked surly desk dude if I could get a room on side of hotel away from heavy truck traffic he said, “nope that’s not the room you reserved.” Almost empty hotel and he wouldn’t let me buy a room without noise. Air conditioning sounded like a jet taking off. Very thin blanket on bed. Was cheap but next time will stay where there is a friendly staff and no trucks all night. Would have been worth $50 more to get a good nights sleep! Live and learn. You get what you pay for.

We tried for one week to get this room canceled as their website showed free cancellations but when we tried, they would not let us do it. So we had to start our travel the next morning at 5:30 AM to get to our obligations so I don’t believe we will be staying here again. Also, the pool had no water when they advertised a pool.
