Bathroom had hair in floor and behind door. Soap dispenser in shower empty. Couldn’t sleep most of night since there was a loud sound all night in room. (Video attached).Phone on bedside stand had static sound coming out of it on and off all night. Could hear doors slamming and people walking all night. Would not be my first choice of hotels next time we go to visit sister in law. Staff at front desk were nice.

Despite being a busy weekend (UVA graduation), staff at checkin were pleasant and quick. Property is clean but could use a few little touch ups. Breakfast is supposed to be nice so we are looking forward to it.

"Poor value for the price"

The good news: This Holiday Inn Express had comfortable beds and plenty of nice towels. The bad news: It felt significantly understaffed. My room had a blind on the floor under the window, a missing deadbolt lock and no amenities (no makeup removers, shower caps, etc.). The grout in the bathroom was grimy and some of the lightbulbs had burned out. The gym in the basement was spacious, but lacked free weights and both of the gym bathrooms were marked "out of order" the whole time I was there. Breakfast was decent, but I had to chase down an employee to get milk for coffee and cereal.
